What if you don't have the shadow rifts enabled? Shouldn't stuff like this be more of a recommendation instead something mandatory?

this is a trick of opportunity and is not always applicable depending on various factors of the world progress. 

besides it's never been confirmed by klei whether mimics creating real uses is intended in the first place.

Hopefully its not changed because of this one item, If this item needs to not be replicated it should be changed instead.

I love using mimicreeps to get construction amulets to duplicate dreadstone because I usually build a lot of pillars.

Just make it cost 6, since if you deconstruct the crown plus the extra shard that makes six, and sure you will have to kill cc again since it costs a shard to start the rifts, but I'm pretty sure that's the point.

this is obviously intented, every mimic item can be use exactly once before mimic reveals itself
