What if Woby is Them

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking about it and it doesn't make any sense why Gru or Maxwell would ever drag a real dog into the constant. Sure they aren't the greatest but that's not something they'd personally do. The only explanation I have is that Woby isn't actually a real dog but rather some kind of Them-like creature that the constant conjured up with their stuff and things. Personally I think Woby is a similar but more advanced creation of mobs such rabbits and bunnymen but unlike them you can't see their true form through insanity.

Why wouldn't they? They've intentionally killed dozens of children based on the pipspooks so it'd be weird to draw the line at not harming animals.

and some people say that the tone of the game isn't dark enough...

I think I agree re: Woby being tied to Them!

I'm a Walter-Woby main, who mostly plays with a Wanda main, and Wanda's quote for Big Woby has always interested me:

Quote

“I'm amazed that young man can keep her under control.”
–Wanda, examining big Woby.

Tbh, I think that's a weird thing to say about a dog you don't know! So to me, Wanda knows Woby from before Walter arrived, bc Wanda rescued Woby from a "real world" catastrophe and into the Constant, to save Woby's life!

Like .. what even is the Moon Stone? Could it have been the resurrection stone Wanda used to save Woby, perhaps on a Full Moon? I like to think Yes :D

I think it's more so because Walter essentially tamed a mutant dog which usually doesn't go well for the survivors see small birds, larvae, and nightmare werepig for example.
