Ruins loop bridge issue, and possibly what is trying to generate but failing to due to spaghetti code?

That gray patch of land, it sometimes have craters with items, other times has clockworks and statues. We should have those covering the more empty parts of ruins where it looks like someone tried making bridges but got lost.

Those generations I dunno if they're a consequence of having specifically generating cave locations or that there was something that never got added.

My assumption is this:

Ruins are trying to generate specifically this sort of generation where it's a huge biome to travel around. We had generation issues before with ruins, it wouldn't surprise me if much of ruins got bugged or Klei specifically designed the more narrow ruins to explore like we have now.

Since this generation now generates besides instead of behind a maze it could have had some kinda impact from it.

I wouldn't mind to have a more twisted ruin generation if we had to go through a maze first to get to the loot, might be a good buff to loot generation in ruins for the sake of compensating for bad gens. I dunno. Tossing my two cents here das all.
