I would like to petition Klei to add a new a new dupe with the name “Ronivan” to the game. Since Ronivan loved tinkering and playing the violin, so should the dupe. I hope someone gets to upkeep his mods so we may continue to use them, ronivan wouldn't want his work to dissapear when the mods break, so do we. May ronivan rest in peace and watch over us all. The core issue is that he didn't include a license in the repository / with the code. Without one, the default legal position is that the work is fully copyrighted, and there are no formal rights to use, modify, or redistribute it. On the other hand it’s unlikely that anyone will enforce the copyright. We also don’t know his will regarding this. The safest option would be to recreate the work from scratch, though that would require a significant amount of effort. Going forward, as a community, we should make sure that our favorite mods and tools include a proper license - just in case. ( doubt it ) Who would want to keep up the code if they could? would klei or steam force anyone that forks it to take it down or would something have to be done lawyer wise? So it's unlikely they would take action if someone published an update to the mods in his honor. The real question is what Ronivan would have wanted. Unfortunately, we can only speculate. FOR OXYGEN NOT INCLUDED MODS As many have notice, I'm barely answering comments nowadays, and some of my mods remain broken. This is due to some personal issues that are preventing me from doing any form of modding. I don't see myself doing any more mod work in the foreseeable future, so its for best I quit modding for ONI. Now I will not abandon everything, and taking in to consideration everyone from the community, I choose Pether.pg to take on my torch. From now on he will be the owner of all my mods and release them again with his account, as steam won't let me transfer the creator rights directly to him.
