Woodie lunar skill tree feels disconnected

Recommended Posts

I don't know why nobody talks about it, so people oppinions are appreaciated. Take a look here:

From the picture you can see that to unlock lunar affinity, you need to use 12 skillpoints.

Lunar affinity allows Woodie to overcome the curse, freeing him from force transformations during fool moon. This is an interesting route - you can become normal human again. Also developers provided an interesting kit for human-woodie: he can pick items faster, he can be a trees whisperer kinds style, and he can craft a protection helmet of wood, a well as walking cane.

It seems viable to forget about wereness now - I can be a NORMAL man!

But I still have to allocate some points into wereness. This make me feel like "I still have to learn my forms/increase tranformation time".

I think I should be able to actually spend my skillpoints somewhere else. E.g. Lucy could become a weapon for Woodie, or he could learn to be inored by werepigs in human-form, or smth else - doesn't really matter. Am I the only one who can't stop thinking of it?

Lunar doesnt “remove” his curse, it just makes it easier for him to control. Monster foods still really easily trigger the curse, and it is still a burden he is forced to bear (as his curse is the core of his character), only made easier through his affiliation with the lunar alignment

Yep it doesn't remove it and he knows that by eating specific food he can transofrm - but if he learns how to avoid transformation during fool moon, and he can knowlingly not eat moster meat, why he should bother about 'staying in form longer' or 'learning how to run faster as a goose'?

this ain't even limited to woodie only, 4 others also suffer from this lock: Wilson, Wolfgang, Wigfrid and Wurt.

To me it's not a prblem that you need 12 skillpoints (or whatever the numbers) to unlock the affinity skills. To me the most disconnecting part is that for Woodie particularly, I can't feel myself as a man who willingly decided to avoid his wereness at any cost.

The 12 skill lock really does nothing. It only matters if you are starting Woodie, but other than that, you want to spend 15 skills by the end regardless.

Should he have more skills dedicated to Lucy and woodcarving? Probably so, but it doesn't change the fact that the affinity skill lock is kind of pointless unless you're starting the character and you are still getting the skills points
