Instead of a timer, count player activity in the caves for Great Depth Worm spawning

Recommended Posts

Aka mining, walking, gathering, being in ruins and being active in ruins, being in muddy biome, gathering lightbulbs as well as glow berries, lichen even. Reduce or have almost no chance for great depth worm to spawn in the greener areas of the caves if activity doesn't involve with the deeper cave elements you interact with. This way you could do a full ruin raid and get a worm boss to spawn as a result to that. If you're in atrium or special areas as such then it'll get delayed to next worm attack if the one that tried to spawn it would fail. Or it'll delay and only spawn the worm boss.

What if it was attracted to advanced resources so trying to escape the caves with dragons hordes of treasure tends to get you ambushed by him?

IE: Loads of gems and stuff.

Makes it a challenge for people trying to cheaply horde gems but a reward for players who can defeat him.

I don't think some players want to particularly 'escape' caves as some people base and build big bases and they need dedicated areas they could predict for such a destructive boss to spawn in safely enough. So if we move most activity and it's spawning over to ruins primarity or rockier caves where more work might be done I'd say it might give everyone a chance to encounter the boss and add challenge when doing raiding activities.

Those that make their ruins into a megabase is to be doomed anyway ig. Being only area where danger lurks and should have more work put into with new updates perhaps.
