Can we give beefalos some storage too

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't be a fan of it being a saddle instead of a pudgy.
A pudgy would be interesting because of the restrictions regarding food (Possibly including your stuff getting wet, and plant based foods/roughage getting eaten.)

Since well, this makes a pudgy gossamer cow less of a meme and more of an asset where you accidentally use destroy large stacks of resources with while sometimes actually doing something useful with.
Like think about how expensive a pudgy cow is. Think of how expensive a gossamer saddle is.

That is like the ultimate cost for the comedy of people reaching a fraction of walters powers.

To be fair 2-3 of the people in supportive of this ARE the people who want woby hard killed to make themselves feel better.

I just think a tiny subset/mutation of the idea is great because of how inconvenient a storage that costs a universe and a half to create but eats whole stacks of rope when you make a small mistake funny.

Elsewhere I'm defending woby's utility to the final line.

I wish they add a 6 slot saddle and a plow for farming saddle

farming plow for the grass gator (water buffalo irl) would be pretty cool, but i don't think the farmplots in dst are big enough to warrant a new saddle, unless you are doing absolutely an maaaaaaaasive farm

You can make farmplots as big as you want. I would go bigger if we get the plow because what takes the most time is preparing the ground

Whenever I tame Beefalo, I usually craft a shovel and brave both deserts and swamp to collect spikey bushes. Since the Beefalo takes 100% of the damage, you can pick these safely. They also grow during the Winter, meaning you won't need to worry about your beefalo starving. I also end up with about 40-60 bushes when I'm done, so I never have a twig shortage. It makes Beefalo taming and managing your Ornery Beefalo so much easier

Thats actually wild clever! I manage well enough feeding bulbs and riding constantly, then fighting a bunch of bees to avoid Rider, but making a food patch which doubles as feeding station is brilliant.

Okay but what if Pudgy gets a feedbag item- can store four stacks of (vegetable only) food or roughage, which pudgy cow eats automatically to restore hunger or heal- hunger is a neglected mechanic for a tamed beefalo, so having them randomly eat items is bad, but made up for by auto healing and storing items (items slowly become wet while in feed bag)

Hell no. Walter has the extra inventory because its part of his basekit, accesing to it while mounting Woby is only him making good use of something he already has on his kit.

Beefalo users already benefited from this update by now being able to feed them while mounting, making the taming process and Ornery's only drawback a joke. This, imo, should have been exclusive to Walter and Woby, this mecanic being available to everyone takes away what could have been something unique to Walter.

Also, this already happened with Walter and it was a HORRIBLE mistake by Klei, its part of what made him a terrible character for years. Before the Beefalo year, Woby was good and pretty cool to use, then Beefalo taming got added and made her useless, because they added everything that Woby had on Beefalos but objectively better and with no drawbacks other than the taming process. They gave beefalos saddles, which is something Woby can't use, and that only made it worse. And this happened AGAIN with Depths of Duplicity, where they gave Beefalos the resurrection bell, making them essentially unkillable post-rifts, which was also supposed to be part of Woby's uniqueness.

In a hypothetical "inventory saddle" scenario, not only are you ruining Walter's uniqueness of him accesing to Woby's inventory, you are also ruining HIS basekit extra inventory, and also worsening Woby a lot, because she can't use saddles.

Tbh I think it should been exclusive to Wigfrid who learnt her riding branch skills. But not for every other characters, including Walter.
