Steorra
Spoiler The current broken point of Walter's boss fighting is - Walter has no fault toleration of getting hit while riding on Woby in early game (when you have no Beefalo). Also this problem makes Walter still have a high need to Beefalo taming. I recommend that to add a skill of Woby, which would allow you get some extra hits (2~4 hits, no matter how damage you taken) before Woby drop Walter down. It could have a recovering mechanic just like "once you got no hit for 2 mins, the hitting toleration would reset to maximum". This would brings a great help to fix many broken issues of Walter's boss fighting. After I tested the Thulecite Crown which is best for Walter's fault tolerance, I changed my mind. I now think 2 extra hits taken for Woby riding is enough or even a bit strong. So I edit this thread. After recheck my ruin rush and early bosses rush experiences, I started to doubt that if Woby does need such a skill or not. Feel free to leave your opinions on topic. YouKnowWho142
Why though? By using Woby you're sacrificing endurance for mobility. How would letting Woby take hits "fix" Walter's boss fighting? Even so, a mechanic like that does already exist since if Walter is wearing armor Woby can take some hits before bucking off Walter depending on the incoming damage. That being said, when riding a Woby you can equip armor in case you get thrown off, so I don't think the balance adjustments would not be that extreme. No. the armor won't stop bee's damage or planar damage (in future) Okay, if you insist. Walter's main problem has already been revealed out many times - which is essentially a no-hit fight. you must not make a mistake, or is able to react to your mistake. A potential method to fix this problem is to fix what the issue some of you mentioned as the sentence I copied above. shuishuihuohuo
Perhaps Woby could be given the effect of the Pinecone Pioneer Hat. Inspired by the owner wearing the hat, Woby would gain courage and be able to withstand one or two more hits.
