One small buff to Woby here, Woby there

So the new Woby skill is definitely a useful even just for sending things back to base but I feel like one small buff it could use is to make it so only Walter has to hold a compass to see players on the map this would allow Walter to send Woby to any players without them having to prepare before hand giving it far more team synergy since compasses aren't really used normally.

Oh so that's how it works. Both players have to hold a compass. I only tested things solo and I honestly thought that they scrapped the player delivery. Yeah I agree with this one. Chalk it up to Walter just needing the general direction, and Woby being able to sniff them out.

Alternatively, it would also make sense that when another player pets Woby, Woby has their scent, allowing Walter to just pick from a list of players. This could prevent Walter from knowing where every player is at all times, and just make Woby run in a random direction, to then TP to the selected player

Haven't tested these ones yet I'll have to check later if someone doesn't get to it first.

Another idea they could make it so you can select players from the player list instead while holding a compass just to avoid Walter players being able to track everyone.

they are pretty niche tho, and making everyone sacrifice one inventory slot (and even hand slot) for this skill seems a bit weird to me

Skilltrees are also tutorials for certain mechanics.

Needing a compass for both people is a pretty good way for people to engage with the navigation system of DST, which i think is pretty good. Its underrated because people just use mods...

It's less people using mods and more so people will just tell people where they are or use flares though technically outside of mods flares were the true death of the compass
