Hotkey for all radial menus?

Recommended Posts

A lot of radial menus are in-game now

Can we add 1-9 keys as "option choices"?

Example: Press abi flower + press the 1 key to soothe/rile abigail

Some client mods do it already

EDIT:
The Better Spell Casting mod added this feature!

Could be nice, however, it might be tricky to implement for console players.

Though including wheel commands as an option to select binds in the controls menu would be a very nice addition, since the only way to do something like that as of right now is using mods.

Yes, but I imagine opening the wheel would temporarily replace the inventory hotkeys until the action is casted.

Correct. This is how I envisioned my suggestion.

Would be so nice actually for muscle memory.

I would actually perfer if could just make a key to do any of the options without needing to use the menu at all.
Abbykeybinds mod at least lets me unsummon abby without needing to use the wheel however rile up opens up  the wheel and i need to select the option

I think simple is best

The UI could also show a number on top of each circle of an opened radial menu to educate players the feature exists

The better spell casting mod does do that and can actually bind them so can fully avoid the menu with it. It also adds a cool down number and quote so player can use the keybinds efficiently

Would love love love love love this as a disabled gamer. Any time I have to use the mouse, I scream internally. Working on some custom mouse that has buttons and a joy stick so I can do everything without having to move my hand from the keyboard to the mouse.

please let me know a link, I would like to use it

I only use the "{charname} Keybinds" mod suites available on the workshop

One solid way this could be implemented would be to use Ctrl+Num as hotkey. A bit clunky but easy to macro if someone is so called, and can keep wheel for console players- strictly QoL for keyboard warriors.

I would literally use the number keys, as when the radial menu is open you rarely need to equip other items, and I prefer speed of UX over everything

awww I tried to place radial on keys 1-6 on all my chars only to find out it interferes with inventory :(

you can actually unbind those in the standard settings.
Thats what i did for mine.
I don't personally use the inventory hotkeys so it works out

I personally use mouse4, mouse5, and v as the hotkeys, using this mod with Wendy really is a gamechanger

Besides the aforementioned option, there's also Character Keybinds, which I've used to great success in the past, though it does not seem to be updated for the latest skill trees as of yet.

How does this exactly work? Can you please explain? You just add keys for each ability in mod menu like the other mod, or is it different?

You can set up hotkeys for any character-specific ability you want within the mod's configuration options.

YOOO

the mod creator actually updated the mod with a "Suppress inventory keys while open" option

EDIT: Nvm, it is currently buggy atm, but might be fixed later on

The 1-6 keys still activate radial menu even if menu is not open, which is not intended
