As the Wolfgang-like DPS was nerfed, please buff basic survivability of Abby.

Recommended Posts

As the title.

So, the DPS of Wendy already got nerfed in most scenarios. Could we improve the function of Abby more for easier/convenient gameplay?

I hope Wendy playerbase would not focused on completely newcomers and veterans. Who in the middle of them is important as well. They need no extremely high DPS, They just want easy daily gameplay when playing their favorite character. Please do something for them.

It seems like recent updates have mostly focused on nerfing DPS values without providing corresponding buffs or adjustments to game mechanics. Is this really how balancing is intended to work? We're nearly three months into the beta, and it looks like once the skill tree is released, there won't be much opportunity for re-balancing. It's frustrating for players who just want a smoother daily experience with Wendy, especially those who aren't hardcore veterans or complete newcomers.

I'm sorry but what exactly attacks you on a daily basis that does significant damage to Abigail? Abi melts hounds with little to no help from Wendy, she is borderline incapable of taking damage from spiders, she can already solo an entire herd of beefalo as is with little input from the player, bees get stunlocked by her, she can kill quite a few frogs before getting overwhelmed, etc etc

The only day-to-day situations I can think of where Abi is ever at danger at dying, even to someone who is new to the game, is when they make the mistake of throwing Abi at a million frogs (even then she'll still kill a bunch of them without any potions, even during frog rain, and if you do use potions she's perfectly competent at it) or at an entire squad of depths worms without synching them, and honestly in those situations Abigail dying is kind of supposed to be the punishment for playing poorly

P.S. stop astroturfing

She still does wolfgang-like dps now btw, but now it's more interesting.

No. I did the math. Not as what you said.

The post you gave here was misleaded by an simple neglect of "Cursed Vex have effect to thulecite club & enlightened crown before", I don't want to join the topic after the wrong discussion happened.

You have misunderstand something. The playerbase we called as "in the middle of newcomer and veteran" is not who avoiding boss fighting in daily gameplay. Those playerbase would like to go boss fighting by "resources dumping" or "casual attention giving". That means those players would like to go boss fighting routinely for resources and fun, but they just won't give 100% hyperfocus to boss fighting since it would makes them feel tired and inconvenient.

It's unreasonable to make Wendy become a character which can not have a basic playstyle of resources dumping like what other character could do (Wendy could do it if you accept to be Wes. But that's not reasonable).

Thulecite club alone gives her Wolfgang levels of damage, though. Wolfgang with dark sword level.

We all knew that thulecite only work for bulky bosses. And weather pain is far better than thulecite club. I have no idea why you choose to use the thulecite as an argument but completely ignoring the DPS loss due to the boss's moving.

Not really. Works on fuelweaver, for example.

Wendy is already one of the most powerful character for anti-AFW, I don't think any further buff for this aspect would make sense.

Especially we have two other character who could easily cheese AFW in this same beta haha.

That was an example. Thulecite club works on more bosses than just Toadstool.

I was talking about legit fighting, I don't think there's a thulecite club cheese strategy. Maybe there is.

the update of cursed vex make the shadow tentacle damage per hit (with cursed vex) from 30.07 to 36.46 to planar entity (+6.39), from 44.2 to 47.4 to normal mob (+3.2).

But thulecite club's weapon damage from 92.04 decreased to 78.15 to normal mob (-13.89).

(Sorry I was too tired yesterday evening which made me got the math fault. Just fixed it)

So then, I was remembered that the comparison before was War Saddle Ornery Beefalo Wendy VS. Shadow Sword Wolfgang.

I have no idea why Thulecite Club Wendy could suddenly join the club of Wolfgang-like DPS. So your argument is "+3.2 dmg per hit of Shadow Tentacle compensated the -13.89 dmg per hit of Thulecite Club (which means Shadow Tentacle should hit over 4.34 times for per Thulecite Club hit if you want a same DPS as pre-update cursed vex) and even it makes Wendy have same power level as War Saddle beefalo (141.44 per hit) for pre-rift combat"?
