If anything this entire thing just limits food choices onto new players. Frogs having mob mentality is already not that recommended to kill (and most people just kill the ones near the one pond and that still spawns at least 3-4 frogs). Moleworms are there but well, their areas are kinda limited to meadows, mosaic, the big pond area and deciduous forests. I think Klei just underestimate how many players that aren't skillful at all and of course the shift of the game from sandbox survival to fight simulator #6289202 doesn't help things too. Is hard to see a krampus spawning without the player really forcing their spawn. Relying on probably implies using more than 20 over an entire world. And then you get double-teamed by Chungus and the Goat. So @Baguettes used the Insight mod in one of his worlds and boy, was it an ever surprise to know the rabbit naughtiness DIDN'T EVER GO DOWN. The limit is about 20 or so (the mod listed 25, I had done a test and killed 24 rabbits in a row before he appeared) and again, many 'pro' players forgot just how many new players rely on rabbits for food. But hey, of course we can't forget the late game too, because killing masqued bunnymen ALSO counts towards the meter! Wow, what fun, Klei! I sure love that players now gotta rely onto other things to kill those bunnymen just to avoid Rabbid King.
