Sugestion for the shield potions effect when drank by players

Currently these potions are not really worth or fun to use with the wreath. I ve seen that the devs are open to find a new effect for them but they havent found yet a gimmick that feels right both theme wise and gameplay wise, so i would like to make a sugestion.

Make the shield none combat focused but a shield from the inveroment. Make the shield prottect from rain, wetness and eartquake like events, basically giving wendy a poors man eyebrella/woodie helmet.

It wouldn´t really be on the same level as the other items it copies but would still have niche uses early game, make early ocean trips a bit easier for instance. Also would make the wreath have one use after rifts for hail protection and acid rain.

The enhanced shield potion could be "multiplayer focused" giving the same effect but making the shield a lot bigger, basically making the character who wears the wreath an umbralla, with less range that can move around on its own.

Could be usefull for when fighting a boss in multiplayer to have 2 players wear it for fighting bosses on the rain and protect the whole group.

I can't find the post but I recall someone suggesting that the cheap shield be made into rain protection while the expensive shield be made into acid rain protection. Acid rain protection is extremely niche but maybe acceptable? Maybe throw in immunity to falling cave flints? You can only use one potion at a time so the effect would be competing with moggle potion.

The butterfly perk having no effect for lunar Wendy in conjunction with an acid rain potion would make lunar Wendy feel even more neglected vs shadow Wendy which is a little sad.

I believe that someone else suggested making Wendy ethereal? As in, you can freely walk through structures and enemies. I'm not sure how useful this would be. It would certainly be very convenient for working with walls and statues and things.

The sheild potions really are the ones that are not useful

I have had 2 suggestions for them. which was

Draught provides 25 health overheal and vengence providing a 50 health overheal but procing the thorns effect while the overheal is active

Both potions have a duration of 4 minutes on wendy
during that duration Any armor the player wears has a 33% durabilty boost. similar to how wigfrids helms have a durabilty boost but only for wigfrid.
and for vengence those 4 minutes give thorns effect to the player.

#3 Player gets 33% damage reduction for 4 minutes.
Thorns on vengeance.


 

I like this idea, but I think those two potions should also make it so thunder doesn't fall on Wendy. Otherwise, she would need to use an umbrella while on the surface under rain anyway, which, at that point, would make it better to wear any head armor + umbrella than to use the Wraith's Wreath potion + umbrella.
