There is no prominent point in each Ghostly Elixir, and the most used one is Spectral Cure-All. If you want other Ghostly Elixir to become useful, you don't need to modify Ghostly Elixir at all. You just need to make Ghostly Elixir superimpose two uses to solve the problem, so that the appearance rate of each Ghostly Elixir will be higher, and there may even be many interesting combinations. Can't the designer think of such an idea?（Refers to the Ghostly Elixir used on Abi）

It's not an armor? Like, people use insulation items and stuff. It's a mix of moggles, plus a very good healing item, plus a way to transport heavy objects, either via giving you easy night vision while transporting at night or via allowing you to not get beefalo. Shield elixirs need some tweaking, but Jason has already stated that they know that.

Completely agree. At best, Wraith’s Wreath can only be considered useful until the first winter. I was shocked when Klei announced they wouldn’t buff Wraith’s Wreath because it’s a cheap item. Honestly, it makes no sense to add an item for just one skill point that had great potential but limit it as a cheap item that only works for 20 days.

A much better idea would have been to make it a late-game item, more powerful but also more expensive, or to introduce a way to upgrade the item so that it gains new abilities at each level. I don’t understand why this item has to be limited to just one function  drinking potions  instead of having more.

Look at the goggles in Winona’s skill tree from Charlie. They allow players to see the world from a different perspective, revealing Charlie’s footprints and enabling the use of her powers. Why can’t Wendy have a similar vision ability? Maybe she could see into the spirit world, perceive different spiritual entities, gather Mourning Glory in new ways, and utilize paranormal abilities. Perhaps even temporarily transform into a ghost or something similar.

t’s a bit annoying when people claim Wendy is overpowered. Like, why did they have to pick on her specifically, when Wendy is roughly in the B tier (I’m talking about her state without the skill tree. The tree doesn’t add much more) There are far stronger characters than her.

I feel like these people are just veterans of the game (which is why they’re so active on this forum). They have thousands of hours and know every mechanic inside out. Obviously, a player who can speedrun all the bosses with Wes will think every mechanic is overpowered.

The truth is, I don’t understand why Klei focuses so much on such people and designs Wendy for speedrunners rather than for normal players. Klei doesn’t realize they shouldn’t listen to random people who’ve had accounts here since 2013, because the 20–40 people who are actively on this forum don’t even represent 1% of the Don’t Starve player base (and no, they shouldn’t listen to me or you either. They should use their own brains, which they clearly lack).

Klei should design Wendy with the majority of players in mind  the average ones who haven’t mastered Wendy and Abigail’s techniques and can’t defeat bosses with her. (I’m sure most Wendy players don’t know how to maneuver Abi effectively.)

Vigor mortis+Wraith's Wreath makes you not have to tame beefalo to move the marble pieces, something made for people like you.

I personally won't think the issues of current Wendy's tree were intentionally based on balance issue. They were more like based on the design intentions of "flavour" from the very beginning. Which means, eh, if the devs insist to think "this is good flavour" (i.e. the flavour intention of the murder action from original DS), there would be few chance for a change in future.

And as similar reason, I gave up my expectation of 1200 HP version Abi. Since they obviously think the player tag is the original design intention for telling a story of "closer" Abi after Wendy growing up in these years. And the animation of this story might be already in progress, which has few chance to rework completely.

 

 

But I have no idea why there's 50% percentage of players here said the pipspooks quest was boring for them, but the current beta still haven't any improvement for it.

I don't think it's a wigford saddle situation.

Worm hat needs glowberry fuel, which is limited. The wreath is basically infinite in comparison. Especially good for multiplayer.

I consider that the best for wreath, but the other potions also has a lot of uses for newcomers. That and the picnic casket lets you store a lot of personal healing and effects in one inventory slot. I think a lot of people overlook this fact, it can be very convenient.

It is really not great to read this post about how you are a victim and have just come to post friendly and constructive things enthusiastically, and then realize that it is the same person that posts really rude and aggressive comments all the time.  Like just a few hours ago "can you shut up" completely unprovoked to someone (there are tons of similar posts like this that were deleted by mods for being innapropriate, but at least you can see this one preserved in the reply, and see why).  I feel like the reason you might feel you are being treated as if you are being rude and that your posts are being removed is because... they are rude??

There are a bunch of people from all countries working together and providing actual feedback and coming to agreeing opinions, with no one being treated poorly.  There are examples all over the front page - it's just people posting about how the designer should be fired or comparing them to a dictator that are getting banned or locked, which is good.  There were like 10 in a row last night at one point.

Actually... I am apologizing for my impulsive words just now (whispering).
It is not good to put moral pressure on others... but I really don't know what to do.
The whole forum is like a diode...
Klei thinks that the Chinese players who speak fiercely are a minority. In fact, as long as they look elsewhere, they will know that almost everyone who knows the situation thinks that Wendy should not be like this.
No one cares. Each of us acts for our own desires, and I am also aware of this. On the Internet, no one can convince another person who wants to oppose him.
We are the same, Klei is the same, Jason is the same. Even JoeW is the same.

I was almost agree with this! But sadly I say nope by considering a bit more details.  Unless there's a change to make sure Cure-All become easier to craft like dumplings.

 

I believe that it's easy to understand that for newcomers lack of dumplings would be common scenario, why they would like to craft massive Cure-All by consuming dumplings when the telltale hearts continuously hurting them?

 

And for experienced players, in early game you wouldn't have enough MGs for such uses (and the dumplings telltale heart things worked here as well), in endgame you would have warps and bear bin and jelly beans which means the use you mentioned here is completely meaningless.

I would agree the wreath would perform good in mid game, which between the period of the early game when you lack of MGs and the endgame where you already have enlightened crown and nightberry.

But for early game it is meaningless when you considering the large needs of MGs for keeping the wreath working. And I have no idea what the scenario the wreath would be needed in mid game for both single or multiple player.

The good thing here is you can convert "easy in base" healing with "portable on the go" healing that never spoils. Using a tent would be really strong here, and Wendy should have a lot of silk. Or if you're eating food for hunger that also heals, but you're at full health. You can convert "extra health" to use later. This is also nice for experienced players.

For experienced players early game, you're going to be making cure alls for picnic casket anyway, in case you need for Abby. So then its there for Wendy too if you need emergency healing.

An experienced player in endgame definitely wouldn't use it as a main healing source, but its still nice to have.

This and the bearger bin scenario is very endgame. In that case I'd probably respec by then, if I'm solo. It's far from the first perk that gets less use in the extreme endgame.

You get a lot of MG now. This should be kept in mind. Repeating:

It changes a lot of things.

And the ease of mg makes the wreath cheap to maintain, and elixirs cheap. So for example, it makes you get a lot of cheap night vision fuel compared to glowberries.

Tbh the food resources would always be lacking for newcomers. They won't waste their dumplings by rotten in most scenarios. This is not worthy for them.

But Wendy could easily to kill bee queen in day 5 for experienced players. Already mentioned above.

And the night vision is enough by using mole hat and the star caller for experienced players. Wreath is just a novel thing to them but unnecessary.

No, this would be not enough for early game especially when you want to rush something.

When you want to rush some particular aims, you have no time to collect enough MGs for keep wreath working.

When you have time to collect MGs, wreath become unnecessary for you.

It's similar like what the situation W.A.R.B.I.S gears at.

Look at the goggles in Winona’s skill tree from Charlie. They allow players to see the world from a different perspective, revealing Charlie’s footprints and enabling the use of her powers. Why can’t Wendy have a similar vision ability? Maybe she could see into the spirit world, perceive different spiritual entities, gather Mourning Glory in new ways, and utilize paranormal abilities. Perhaps even temporarily transform into a ghost or something similar.

Even if you ignore most of the other potions how in the world is a better moggles/miner's hat only good until winter? Like maybe if you're glued to the backpack or immediately rush the lunar rifts maybe I could somewhat understand but even just barely but it's hard for me to understand as it's the best obtainable pre rift equip based light source and that's just one of it's effects if anything considering how much you get out of that skill point it's stranger it doesn't cost more when compared with other characters.
