I don't know.. I'm not sure.. but.. Would too many people be pissed off if this feature was changed? Idk.

I'm not too much of a fan of meteors, and I can't reason their purpose on a long-term world.

Yes, I do deactivate them sometimes, mostly when the meteor shower range is in the middle of the map, too close to spawn, or on an intersection/bridge to other places.

Either make the mosaic biome's meteor field be ALWAYS far away from the branch of the other biomes (start of the biome), basically making it shower only at the edge of biomes and then change their connections for the mosaic to have priority being the last biome of a branch; Or give us a way for it to stop, because I don't see any type of benefit I get from these, they always break trees and invoke tree guards, destroy twigs and grass, and make a mess of the world.

Idk, if anyone think there is a charm to them, or that they're fine like this, please let me know.

they only spawn in mosaic and that random optional biome with a small rock field and bees

alsol having mosaic far away from spawn would mean you will not be able to get rocks and gold and i dont think alot would like that

I was initially thinking it might be good to have an in-game way to disable the meteors like you suggested. After thinking about it for a bit, I think handling meteors using game settings is sufficient. When/if people want meteors disabled is going to vary a lot and turning them off after a milestone might not be ideal for everyone.

foggy graves and spider/tallbird outcroppings also give gold though not as much

graves are part of mosaic and so are tallbirds, and spider rock biome usualy not one of the biomes you will find first, especialy because its an optional biome

surely graves are not? they use deep forest turf and i have found them separated from mosaic many times over the years. they also, at least in solo, have their own unique room generation cauculation

I don't care because meteors only affect a tiny portion of the map. Plus there are settings in the world menu to turn it on or off. so making it tied to an in game thing such as killing CC seems pointless when you can simply click a button before starting the server.

do you call the small savana turf on spawn biome savana or spawn biome? thats the thing, the graveyard is part of the mosaic biome

i call the biome based on its contents+floor not on its localle

if it helps i like doing border-edging too and it is coming out fairly nice. is it going to be a garden or a zoo?

i think now we are goin off topic with this about meteors, i will dm you about the biome makin thing

I would not want meteors to be forcibly disabled just because I progressed. I never build in meteor biomes because meteors are there, so why would I care about doing one of the longest, hardest, most time consuming things in the game in order to be able to build there? Meteor biome is just a free resource hot spot. It's also very important in public servers where without them there may be no resources for new players at all.

That looks like, based on the top half, the Swamp Forest which usually has a pig village in it. This is separate from the forced Mandrake Forest and MacTusk/Moonstone Forest.
However given the tile distribution it is unknown if this is naturally generated or from a mod, namely the bottom portion.

its the triple walrus biome, what some turf replacemends can do to the world what? its not a mod, its in a puplic server with save and load feature, and its a desert with alot of nothing tiles still on the works, the edge however is the orange mud turf from caves

hmm, if you do the math, more people want this. but around 45% would agree otherwise (currently).

I don't know man, if I could activate it back again, then I don't see a reason not to be able to stop it. I can get gold by making a meat farm and feeding pig king, or even doing a ruins clear and I'll have more gold than I'll ever need. Rocks are renewable through stone fruit bushes, and there's an insanely absolutely huge amoung of it in the caves, a humongus amount of rocks in the mud biome, you'll need a hutch, 20 gift wraps and it would still clog your inventory after clearing the caves, full of rocks, gold, flint and nitre. Now I don't actually know a way to farm moon rocks other than the meteors, and the celestial champion but.. c'mon, just make the meteors fall at the lunar island or something, then celestial champion would also mine them for you too.. It's better this way. Make megabasers be able to build at the mosaic graveyard and do buildings around the fields.

Or maybe don't, since some people have buildings at the lunar islands too. Just make a new place for this then, a new island for them. They're really not necessary at this point in time.

Because sometimes, the meteor fields are in the pathway to other biomes that don't have wormholes to them. I have a world where I'm forced to walk through fields every single day, and it's always just destroying trees and making it a big mess of items on the ground. Then the trees will regrow, and twiggy trees too, and this cycle just repeats forever until I deactivate them in the setting on that world specifically. They CAN get annoying indirectly, without you actually being able to do anything about it other than to deactivate them. Also, what if I wanna have a build at the graveyard? This is a sandbox game too afterall. The devs could think of a way to stop them in-game, and it wouldn't hurt you. You can just keep them and I can just not.
