gigamoi
Hello Since their introduction, primo garb has always been the best stuff to dress your dupes with in any temperature controlled mid/late game environment. That was all fine and dandy at the time but, ever since cosmetics were introduced, primo garb made dupe outfit cosmetics essentially pointless since they would be covered up as soon as reed fiber was made abundant. Some suggested having the option to make the primo garb invisible and, while it does fix this issue, I find that to be a bit "computery" and to not fit well into gameplay. So, I did a bit of thinking and came with the idea of mostly transparent primo garb. Not entirely transparent, just something that let most of the original dupe outfit be seen AKA, what we would see as a single clothing item. But something really really nice (by dupes standards) as to justify the great decor bonus, such as some really fancy gloves, or some sick leather cowboy boots. A scarf around the neck would work nicely too. The current suit system seem to override each layer completely so I know this idea requires more that just a few assets and is not a quick and easy solution but my aim here was to share the idea of this way to make primo garb sort of work with the cosmetics system instead of just superseding it. 6Havok9
The only primo garbs I want to always be visibile are the spiffy overalls for ranchers/farmers and the cubist suit for Meep. I wouldn't mind a top/bottom layer checkbox for the duplicant's outfit, so one can choose between the primo garb/snazzy suit/sweater look or the custom outfit from blueprints. (I also like green for radioactive friendly Marie, but it's less striking) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163168-mostly-see-through-primo-garb/#findComment-1786165 Share on other sites
