Expert Advice Needed: Valve Automation for Liquid Flow. Could you help me?

Recommended Posts

Hey, everyone! I've been playing the game for about two weeks now and have been learning a lot from the Automation overlay. This time, I’d love to hear your approaches to solve this scenario:

  • From left to right, a first Liquid Meter Valve should only allow 500 kg of liquid to pass through before shutting off. This process needs to be repeated up to 4 times using just one valve.
  • The second valve should allow 0.1 kg of liquid to pass through after the first valve has finished, continuing until there’s no liquid left.

You can use any solution you like, except for the Signal Selector/Distributor. The screenshot shows how I want the valves positioned, but they don’t need to fit into that small space.

Thank you so much in advance!

Hi @Saturnus,

Just to clarify, the first valve should allow 500 kg of liquid to pass through up to 4 times, then shut off completely. The second valve can continue indefinitely. I've spent days trying to accomplish this as I'm still learning the game. Or Idk if I didn't copy it correctly.

Thank you so much for help, I mean it.

The above does exactly that.

First meter valve is reset 3 times. The 4th time the counter output turns on and prevents the first valve to be reset thus turning it off completely. And when the counter output is on the 2nd meter valve is allowed to be reset which it will do until there is no more liquid.
