Konebred
So we invade another giant cell, multiply, literally biologically change benign entities to fit our needs. We destroy entire areas just consume what we need and discard the rest. We set up mitocondria area to power the invasion of the rest of the cell. Just eat, consume, and look for more. If we evolve fast enough we can spread to other cells as well. Sometimes settling in, sometimes just taking what we need and leaving the rest to its own fate. Happy holidays! Happy holidays! that is basically all games with colonizing as the main mechanical theme; invade, consume, corrupt, expand Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/162794-just-realized-this-is-a-cancer-simulator/#findComment-1782306 Share on other sites
Primalflower
this is just a bit of an edgy way to describe the main way with which humanity tends to function Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/162794-just-realized-this-is-a-cancer-simulator/#findComment-1782312 Share on other sites
ALCRD
My colonies are more closer to common cold rather than cancer. GluttonyMain
Not really. Cancer spreads uncotnrollably, until it inevitably kills the host. Cancer literally cannot stop on its own. In ONI we specifically try to achieve long term sustainibility. If you really wanted to paint the asteroids a one big organism we would be more like a parasite than cancer. Since when does cancer sometimes take resources and that leave? I have heard of immune system sometime beign able to supress cancer, but it doesnt just leave on its own volition. To me it seems like you are trying too hard to fit cancer behaviour on ONI. This is up there with "it's all just a dream/simulation" as a pretty underwhelming way of explaining the story.
