To those who want to nerf abigail: what is it you want?

I'm sorry but it actually seems like what you really want is an Abigail critter.  Something that can follow you around, is impossible to die because it feels sad to you when she does and it really affects your gameplay, and that doesn't really do any damage.  Maybe you should be requesting that they just add a critter option that looks like Abigail? I'm sure that would at least be taken under consideration and not be too hard to add.  Making it so that you don't have to worry about Abigail dying would really make the game experience worse for the majority of players I think though.

What if Abi is invincible, or has infinite health? And deals 0 damage?
This still maintains the previous gameplay, and even has more options.
In fact, I like every aspect of Wendy.(*^_^*)

Critter Abby it is, I guess.

I personally think it would be cooler for abby and wendy to have more things they do together and are encouraged to do together to focus more on that sibling based connection that wendy is meant to portray. 

abby doing less damage on her own, but with wendy at her side both benefiting, some sort of way of positively motivating abby and abby motivating wendy. Stuff that is both thematic and kinda sweet between the two showing that even in death, and in life, being together makes them stronger vs "rile abby and make her do everything while I pour potions on her flower". (this was done with maxwell and his shadows to make it so he was encouraged to fight as well, since distance effects' the damage and attack speed of his duelist)

It was sort of this way in Solo DS, where in order to get Abigail to attack things you had to kite them to her (hilariously how I learned to kite for multiplayer DST) Now Bernie plays this role more than Abigail though, to get Bernie to attack certain things you have to run to Bernie or run them towards Bernie to get him to attack.

I loved that aspect with OG Wendy that we simply just don’t have anymore, now you just toggle Abigail to Riled Mode and can AFK Simulator.

I loved how when Abigail got killed her flower would drop in the dangerous location and I’d have to make a daring rescue to recover it and suffer the consequences of letting Abby go down by having to wait for her to return.

For Me I’ve mostly gravitated away from playing Wendy and moved to Willow (yup shocker I know) But what I’ll never understand is why Klei made Willows gameplay more like OG Wendys (minus the firepower’s)

Many things have changed mechanic-wise since original DS and even DST.

Just from the top of my head:

-Abigail used to get stuck on anything that became aggresive towards you, and to get her to stop fighting you had to get like 3 or 4 screens away, and sometimes it was quite difficult to do so in time before Abigail, the tentacles from the swamp were specially notorious for this.
-You could craft multiple flowers, and each flower had its own separate timer, so a good strategy you could do is carry 3-4 flowers in your inventory, to instantly resummon Abigail with max health after she died, similar to modern Bernie in a sense.
-Abigail flowers turned to regular flowers if left on the ground for 4 days, and you could take advantage of this mechanic by making hundreds of flowers (like 400+ petals, ouch) and dropping them on the ground to turn them into a flower field, then dying and turning all of them into evil flowers, creating the most powerful insanity aura in the game, with a beequeen crown you could restore 200 sanity in 16 seconds, I still have one in my world

Also, to summon abigail, you had to drop the flower on the ground, and kill something near it. A couple of times I dropped it while I was being chased by an army of shadow spelumonkeys, with the goal to kill one of them with a spear, knowing that I was a lag spike away from certain death. You could also kill something from your inventory, but I don't think I ever did that.
I liked her gameplay because all I needed was a spear, a bunch of flowers, and I was set for most of the combat, except for bosses, and I could focus on other things.

Then the rework came, made her much easier to control, and no longer stuck on tentacles! But they also added the pipspook sidequest, that forced you to go out of your way periodically to search for graves, then spend 2-3 mins to search for toys to get her craft. Mostly grabbed a bunch of them for emergencies (frog rain) and desummoned Abigail for bosses when she got too low. Her new shield and debuff make her destroy any non-boss encounter anyway. I was not a fan of switching her gameplay for one where you grind for consumables on a sidequest separated from the rest of the game.

Cancel the enrage option, and let lunar abi get the same ability as before, so that it won't cheat and you can get what you said.
Then make some minor adjustments to make the two sisters closer...?

One Sewing Kit can restore more than 10,000 HP for BERNIE!, and you can have multiple BERNIE!s to fight for you.
When BERNIE! dies, I don't panic. And I still have fire magic.
And Abigail, when she dies, I can't use Sewing Kit to restore HP for Abigail.
So it's better to weaken Sewing Kit. (What)

Do you think it's OP just because you can summon a 1HP Abigail endlessly?
Very novel and interesting idea.
If I can only let myself stay still for a few seconds when BERNIE! dies to summon a 1HP BERNIE! that can restore HP slightly, maybe I'm invincible.

Maybe Abigail's survivability should be improved, maybe?
There will always be someone who needs it.
My idea is that without the player interfering, Abigail can face bosses like Bearger together with Wendy, but after the battle Abigail will be badly hurt.
If the player actively controls Abi, it is even possible to make her not get hurt and not get hurt themselves.

This claim that Wendy + Abigail does less damage than Wes vs Armored Bearger is blatantly false. As you can see from the 2 videos linked below, Wendy with the current skill tree takes significantly less time to kill Armored Bearger than Wes.

Even if this claim was true, Armored Bearger is still only 1 boss out of many and against the vast majority of bosses an optimally played Wendy does even more damage than Wolfgang with a Dark Sword.

You are asking in the thread title what people who want Abigail to be nerfed want. I think that having to put effort into keeping Abigail alive in combat makes Wendy more interesting to play and should thus be kept in the game. Massive buffs to her survivability like current Blessed Sisturn 3 would make her much less interesting to play.

Strictly speaking, this video (Shadow Abi + Wendy) is a few seconds slower than the one I played with Wendy alone.
But it is an interesting and practical solution.
Wendy has a lot of new content that can be developed in the current version.
