Fun fact about "nice" Wortox and CC crown

Recommended Posts

A lot of people seem to not notice... but Wortox before skilltree used to be one of the worst Enlightened Crown users!

but the new "nice" inclination allows him to restore 5 sanity per soul
and since it takes 22 hits to empty the sanity ammo it only takes 4 souls to refuel it

that strategy is especially nice for stomping pre-rift content like Dragonfly and Toadstool
thanks to consistent DPS supported by 110 damage per hit without any risk of losing ramping damage like the Void Scythe
(that drops back to 68 upon getting hit or having to take a break)
which really adds up in those long fights

General tips and fun facts:
-Brightshade Sword, Void Robe and 2 Bone Armors are important for flexible usage of the crown
-For 2 first phases of Toadstool it's viable to face tank boomshrooms with single bone armor (and spare fuel of course) but for 3rd one it's better to use Wagpunk armor for safety
-It's possible to stun Dragonfly, but so far I didn't get the bonus scail
-Double Bone Armor is essential against DFLY, swap it as soon as you get hit for invincibility
-Use void robe to counter strong sanity auras, so your power stays intact
-It takes 50/100 souls to kill Dfly and Toad respectively, but pleasant pastorale can help a lot with potential mistakes (it's 1, 3 jars worth, but more jars with "Overflowing Greed" perk is even more convenient without having to stop to open the jars)
-It's 4/6 souls against seasonal bosses up to 6k HP assuming you start the fight with full sanity (EXCLUDING POTENTIAL SOUL HOPS)
-Gloomerang with crown is especially handy for finishing off 3rd phase of CC which is notorious for kiting the player

I like this strategy because I think it brings the most out of Wortox and the late game treats he obtains

truly it's not meta or anything, but I would like to appreciate the personal depth Wortox gained after the skilltree

Tbf soul piecer with the shadow alignment goes pretty crazy against hordes.

I know, but I guess the neutral flute skills combine with shadow alignment could do similar thing with a lower efficiency..? still testing. I prefer QoL build for daily life, the nice effect is an important thing that I can't abandon..
