Back when I was newer to this game, I got annoyed whenever I would see Abigail take more damage than me, I barely knew about elixirs or positioning Abigail, so it felt unfair that she took more damage than a normal player, but the more I learnt how to play the more I was able to succeed, I learnt about elixirs, how to position Abigail so she isn't getting attacked by the boss, and If I ever screwed up or didn't know how to position for a boss, I would use spectral-cure all's, It wasn't perfect on every single boss, but it worked for most of the game, and it allowed for skill expression for the character.

But now with the new changes, you can just slap a spectral-cure all on Abigail and call it a day, You don't have to monitor her health that much other than just applying another spectral cure-all (and before you say it's difficult to grind, Pipspooks got buffed (a welcome change) and you can on average craft multiple elixirs now, ontop of jelly beans being very easy to get for wendy and spider glands being even easier.)

Now the most optimal strategy is to not care about abigail's position too much, and just slap spectral cure-all's until the boss dies, not very intuitive or fun, unless you just wanna hold F and watch everything die...

All they need to do is make the extra survivability only apply to Gestalt Abigail and decrease her DPS.

If you want to play a low risk Wendy, then you get low reward Wendy.

 

They should do the same for Shadow Abigail except in reverse.

Dark Petals in sisturn = higher reward for higher risk.

Also the fact that they specifically didnt let cure-all interact with strong brew indicates they didnt want the potion to be more effective than it already is. 

I feel at the very least thay aspect will be toned back, especially considering how hard it breaks Wendys balance as a result.

If they dont, then idk.

All 3 threads discuss fairly different aspects of the problem.

My thread is about how it erodes what makes her amd her tree unique from other survivors.

Lardees was about game balance and providing video proof.

This thread is about how rewarding the earning curve is.

Did you have the same issue with the "abigail should be able to tank" threads that made a similar set of points

Allowing this skill to go live is also probably enabling Abigail to carry new Wendy players even further.

Maybe the fact that multiple threads exist is a testament to how people don't appreciate how strong the new skill is?

So, there were ton of protest threads when Gestabby become not OP, Should Gestaby go back to being OP? Even I would say no.

I agree with this, but as to avoid discussing "fun" I will say it this way.

Focusing* more on making commands stronger would create a healthier and more skill-expressive gameplay loop even if the commands were bonkers, rather than giving Abby permanent 50% damage reduction against bosses and taking a poo while she solos pretty much any boss in the game.

And if people like the AFK playstyle that is the current Abigail, I honestly suggest checking out the Play Store on Android, nowadays it's FILLED with AFK (title here) games for you to enjoy.

But I am not opposed to the player tag staying, as long as it's exclusive to Lunar Abby. Shadow Abby benefiting from it makes Lunar Abby beyond pointless to spec into.

Poor wording on my part, when I say "solos" I do mean without Wendy participating in combat.

Wendy sitting back and just applying elixirs while Abby is the one in combat is what I mean by "soloing". Sorry if the word choice was a bit confusing.

Give Cura-All a cooldown or just nerf pipspooks line would be far reasonable.

The way to make the player tag perfect is to make it exclusive to Lunar Abby.

Lunar Abby is designed for bosses, Shadow for day-to-day combat. But right now, Lunar Abby is 6ft under (no pun intended) because Shadow Abby gets 50% DR against bosses, and has better DPS due to giving Wendy a 2.1 damage multiplier.

If they just made the player tag obtainable through the last Lunar alignment skill, it'd be perfect and I doubt anyone would complain honestly.

No, they need to nerf shadow abi rather than player tag. Shadow abi is far more broken than a simply player tag.

The game is not only for veteran skill expression.

High risk high rewards hints a scenario, which always be like:

only veterans could suffer that risk because of their extremely high skills. And as some of you already clarified - to kiting Abi without player tag is not a difficult skill to learn - it means that the Shadow Abi have no risk in fact for those veterans who could easily learn the Abi manage skills. 

So high rewards with no risk Shadow Abi for veterans? It's obviously broken. It need nerf.

I don't think this reply make any sense about the "shadow abi need nerf" topic.

 

Also it is hard to understand why many of you complaining continuously how broken DPS Wendy have which as a main reason to stop Wendy get more benefits from the skill tree, but at the same time many of you choose to ignore how shadow abi is broken for current patch.

Also this is a thing what I did 3 years ago.

Veteran? Maybe far not enough.

But sorry, for average players this is obviously a veteran skill. Which means most Wendy players can't do same thing even 3 year have past. And that's why player tag does matter for many of them

Considering she's meant for better aoe/horde farming and not for bosses.... That'd be a decent nerf for her.

Shadow Abby already has the privilege of the shield being spammed due to the amount of hits she takes.

No. Damage out put with Shadow Abi need nerf. Especially we already have planar dmg buff of Shadow Abi in this patch.

Also if it's possible, I personally prefer to nerf Wendy basis DPS when combine with Vex.

the Wolfgang or Wigfird like DPS is never a important part for some of us who just enjoying fighting with Wendy's sister.

Additionally if I have to take your idea seriously, I have to clarify that since player tag is also apply to Shadow Abi, at least 2x extra dmg is needed for balance.

but even after 2x extra dmg it just made Shadow Abi back to a position when we have no Player Tag for her.

So, 2.5x or 3x extra dmg would be more logically.
