The punishment for Abigail's death shouldn't be "Wait X minutes"

They don't want to unsummon her and wait. They want her available at all times, with no effort put into keeping her alive.

Otherwise Wendy is just Wes. With better stats. And normal work speed. And no bad luck. And can talk. And isn't more susceptible to temperature nor grogginess. And has lower sanity drain. And gets all the damage you got in before Abi died. And most of everything that comes with her skill tree.

But she's got the Wes downside that can be completely negated by a beefalo, and that's what counts! She doesn't even get balloons to compensate, smh.

I just heard you can also apply healing elixers to her now while she is unsummoned.

Unsummon her, full heal, put on your damage/utility elixer of choice, pop her back out.

EDIT: Someone said you always could.  Never knew! I always dragged elixers directly on abby.

Nah cause I swear some people on the forums around the first and second hotfix (before the removal of the flower shroud) said that Wendy works slower, and I was so confused. Kept checking the wiki, and I'm pretty sure she works with normal speed. Glad to see someone say it

Brah Forget Me lots is the easiest crop to farm in the game, you have to make empty farm tiles far away, wait for them to grow Forget Me Lots on its own, and then you just visit those during the first 5 days of a season. You can get like 5 on each visit and make the potions right there. Once the plant "dies" just shovel it and new ones will grow.

Also, lord of the fruit flies can be used to farm STACKS of those on a bunch, heres a video explaining it better, but if you do this ONCE you will have Ghastly Experience for the entire game.

That is one of the reasons why adding more survivability to her makes 0 sense

This is what I was talking about for getting them for tea, yes. But getting the fruit fly boss isnt even necessary for the elixirs, since unlike tea, they don't rot.

I forgot that digging up the bolts ALSO makes new forget me lots grow in empty tills.

This will work up until you open lunar rifts, then those gardens get overran by Brightshades, and I see a lot of Wendy mains complaining about Abigail being useless against Late Game Rift mobs.

Why anyone would ever attempt to use Abigail on Deadly Brightshades I swear I’ll never know… I’m just letting you know that Deadly Brightshades will specifically target and spawn in your tilled up soil.

I would know this because I had huge hand made graveyard biomes (that had no graves) that because the soil was garden digamajig set up, Brightshades would target and spawn there.

I didn’t have any crops growing or anything.. they just target the dirt.. or maybe they patched that?? Idk.

If it’s NOT been patched out then Klei should change wendys abilities to place graves or GMBW to require tilled up soil first, that way by the time you reach late game- You also have to deal with Brightshades infesting your grave biomes.

The original downside of don't starve was that wendy needed to wait for abigail to fully charge up and then summon her.
during that time wendy was weaker. once abigail was summoned it was important for wendy to try and keep abigail alive to avoid having to wait another 3-5 days to summon her again.
In together before her refresh they mitigated that slightly  since  wendy was able to have multiple abby flowers that allowed for stacked cooldowns. Which allowed for wendy to spawn abigail right away if she had a sacrifice ready.

In her refresh. they took that away and instead made it so wendy and abigail can be active always anywhere on the map. but if you summonned abigail too early she would be in a weaker state than if she was fully charged. you could decrease  the time for her levels with the sisturn. and also maintian abigail more with potions.
I think thats fine honestly because there is incentive to keep abigail alive. 
But, with the new ghost elixer it kind of ruins that aspect since the original downside of wendy and abigail was abigail dying and wendy being weaker because of it.

We should instead allow wendy to make abigail stronger through her levels but if abigail dies its back to square 1.  So that way wendy players need to learn to try and help Abigail survive vs just resetting her.

Yeah you really just need to pick some, once. The bolted ones let you restart the process + can give a flower.

You also don't need tons for the elixirs. I was doing this for huge quantities of tea. I'm going to try this out in a wendy playthrough, but I'm thinking that you just need one farm digmajig for all the forget me lots you'd ever need.

@Lardee I'm planning on posting notes where I play Wendy, and attempt to see if I can just facetank bosses after rushing lune flowers. I hope you do something similar. Very clear way to prove your point.
