Why is this woman even screaming? Who does Wigfrid thinks she is, some special somebody? Speak musical instrument like normal people.

Battlesongs. Sweet little passives.
Can't be balanced, can't have skins, can't have cool interactions, can't be waited by your team to be crafted, can't have new spell UI, can't have lore, are those powers even canon?
Someone is forced to work on manually remixing opera singing of her voice actress(?) on EVERY new battle music

They are abusive towards both players and developers. This madness has to stop..

Listen, I get it. Our helmet fabricator(with each skin for them in 2+ years) is stronk.
But this is straight up disrespectful to music part of the team, they cook all the time i'm crazy in love with their work! Why would it be such a waste?
Everyone agrees they are useless, then why nothing happens...

My heart just ached when she was skipped of mention every skilltree beta dev streams. It's over isn't it?
It didn't move anywhere with skilltree, they never were good to begin with and are only getting more competition.
I can't even come up with design concept anymore, I don't know what to do, and will be jumped by people for crying over nothing.

I don't even know if you're trying to be satire or anything, but Wigfrid was an actress in stageplays - The Performance Artist, anyone? - and she had so much pride on her role that she legit went into depression when the news said her acting wasn't as good enough as before.

And besides, it's not that strange for people - especially going into battles and war - to belt out a ballad or two, just to soothe their heart and reaffirm themselves to not be afraid when facing their enemies.

Another reason why skill trees were a mistake - the newest ones are stronger and more developed than those of characters who had theirs earlier and now their players feel cheated out.

Respectfully, No for the same reason Well-Met said themselves, if Wigfrid is still that good is because her omnivamp is a monster. if you try play her using skilltree or not the feeling is almost the same cuz you barely missed anything. The spear is questionable since you could just hold f vs anything that isn't a boss that it will die while the vamp hard carry you with the exception of mob farms because they could stunlock you. Shields need gold and beefalo wool, what's the problem them ? Low durability. and wigfrid is the one of the few characters that retained her downside even if isn't that impactfull, so meat=gold to massproduce shields is strange, just use a hambat and cait, i don't get why people say shield is a complete new style of taking the game.. Are people that bored to say holding a button with 3 seconds of flag is fun ? Wigfrid is a combat character, she really didn't needed any beefalo stuff, if anything give that to warly for milk recipes or anything of the like. Why have a saddle if can't compete with anything ? besides if you are dying with a 1000 hp and 6 speed fully domesticated mob you need to cait better.. She doesn't give any benefits to it neither receive them, meter skills are wasted potential to some sort of risk vs reward, new battle songs are all multiplayer fillers, and alignments are non existent. Just to be Clear with anyone reading, i'm not agreeing with op to simply explode her battle songs, i was just replying the other guy.

I have no idea why you're so upset over her singing. She's got a nice singing voice and it fits her character: a former actress/opera star who's been driven to madness by her nostalgia for the days when she was the star of the show, to the point that she believes she's actually a Viking warrior. The songs also aren't useless, although some are more useful than others. Her healing song is very strong, for example, especially when paired with Weremoose Woodie, and her sanity-related ones are great against bosses like Deerclops and Fuelweaver (particularly when you're using both sanity songs).
