Because i think the dps is already good, removes one of the beef's downsides and Wanda's watch slow atack speed and feels so artificial to equip and unequip something (stepping doesnt make me feel that way but still, i don't find worth the hassle)

Also this might make klei dong add interesting weapons with different atack speeds because everything could potentially atack at the same rate like what happens with Wanda's watch..

In other games i do it like in pvp games where you can cancel an atack by using another skill or by moving but i just dont like it when playing dst. This doesnt mean i think it should be removed for the sake of it. And a lot of people are hypocrite because im sure the cancel animations when shoveling, mining or chopping

you definitely misinterpretted. i only said an opinion on how the skill tree is designed, i will not judge negatively you for how you choose to play, rather i wanted to say i genuinely hate how ranged 'combat' is all walter is apparently, according to his skill tree and nothing else to make his fighting more engaging

I think there are more worrying things that unbalance the ridiculous pvp of this game than people refusing to git gud

It's actually pretty silly that people don't consider this an exploit. Take one look at it being done lol. It makes no sense and takes no threshold amount of skill, just an awareness of a sort of bug and a few minutes of practice. Whether you like it or not (look at all the people that raged over the fleshy bulb change), eventually it will get fixed. Tbh I find, especially with the really powerful insight trees we keep getting, the armor animation cancel exploit doesn't just make bosses easier it actually trivializes a lot of content. It's that significant. I don't really like using it as a result, nor do I like playing alongside it. Just removes fun.

Yea i agree with you, walter is ok but boring, i understand your point of view.

What skill does it requires on a ranged weapon? I can accept this exploit in melee because atleast you have to kite, but in ranged is quite abusive, specially when Gloomerang IS intended to just have 4 charges and a cd. With its animation cancel you get infinite charges on top of the additional damage.

I mean, the repair kit economy on them is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than just using the Shadow Reaper, along with much lower DPS, especially against mobs with higher walk speed. I don't really think they're imbalanced at the moment in their current state, because there's a clear cost to using them over melee.

I don't really care much either way. I've never used them for DPS other than maybe lazily finishing off Celestial Champion, and they'll still clear Brightshades for me, just slower. I often keep two on me, but I feel like I rarely actually use them to kill anything.

It will probably malfunction more in the Crab King fight without the weapon swap, though... (pls klei make it so ranged attacking wont make you hop ship I beg of u thx)
