Oxylite making rocket interior go overpressure after update?

Recommended Posts

I've been using an almost identical design for all my rocket interiors for the last 1000 some cycles since venturing into space without any major issues, but after the last major update on November 21 this design seems to be causing all my rockets to go wayy overpressure causing popped eardrums. The upper-most storage bin is loaded with oxylite which is supposed to off gas normally, and then I have CO2 removal at the bottom, this kept my rockets between 1500-2500g pressure before, but now I'm seeing rockets upwards of  100kg pressure after a flight. I copied this design I think from a Francis John video that may be a couple years old now. Is anyone noticing this same problem after the update, or have a better design for providing oxygen via oxylite for rocket interiors without doing anything crazy that takes up too much space?

I've got an air vent providing oxygen as well, but it's nice to have extra for extended missions, and I'm trying to avoid an external gas tank just for oxygen.

In a pressurized room, oxylite will only offgas when a blob of CO2 overs the oxylite. Before the last patch, the oxylite would delete the CO2.  Now, it puts the oxygen in an adjacent tile and does not delete the CO2, meaning the oxylite will continue to offgas until the CO2 falls down.  I don't know if there is a good way to prevent this except by putting the oxylite above where any duplicant can stand.

You could substitute the oxylite for a gas vent and a canister emptier with a large number of oxygen bottles in the rocket, but those are harder to come by.

Ah, that is the reason. Noted the effect too when doing space research and exploration. Went away for transport, so I did not investigate further. I think you just need to make sure most CO2 does not fall past the storage compactor with the oxylite. In your design, you could try to use more airflow tiles and/or moving the storage compactor to the left.
