I understand that the vex isn't correctly implemented into the game right now, but when it will be Wendy will have her damage boosted by 2.08x (1.56x damage modifier) + Abigail's damage This causes a massive 106.1 damage with a dark sword or 137.28 on an ornery war saddled beefalo
Players' attack speed is capped at 0.4s, let's take that for this comparison
Wolfgang deals 136 damage with a dark sword, for a dps of 340
[Shadow On foot] Wendy deals 106.1 damage, for a dps of 265.25 + Abigail's DPS which can be doubled by murdering a mob in your inventory: so up to 345.25 DPS
[Shadow On beefalo] Wendy deals 137.28 damage on a beefalo, for a dps of 343.2 + Abigail's dps: so up to 423.2 DPS
[Lunar On foot] Wendy deals 78.54 damage, for a dps of 196.35 + Gestalt Abigail's dps: so up to 296.35 DPS
[Lunar On beefalo] Wendy deals 101.64 damage, for a dps of 254.1 + Gestalt Abigail's dps: so up to 354.1 DPS
I excluded the pure brilliance potion as it is post-rifts, and that stinks.

She's starting to at least rival Wolfgang, is that not more than Maxwell? Even ignoring that, as he is a very broken character, that looks like a lot of damage potential to me. I'm not saying she's better in any capacity! But she's powerful enough to warrant actual effort from the Wendy player especially with new controls to make controlling her and keeping her alive easier and a potion to immediately get her to level 3.

This is why I hate Klei's increased damage. This actually masks his lack of creativity. Increased damage will never outstrip the true powerhouse. But obviously they don't want to redo the skill tree. They can only continue to increase the value on a barren basis.

If you're gonna compare characters then it's gonna end bad no matter what, you don't compare Wolfgang to Wigfrid, or Wurt to Webber, Woodie to Maxwell. Just because they share similar traits with one another and then question who's better. This game has never had balanced characters and they aren't meant to be balanced around each other as it is no competition and never has been. So long they don't step on each others toes and make a unique experience to one another.

You misunderstood me, i'm saying elixirs are far cheaper than having to work up other character's summoning stats and powers, not their outright recruit/summon requirements.

Fake as it may be, it wouldn't do much good even if it was a real hp bonus. More hp would only make Abigail more excel what she already masters, while still being weak against current troubles. Think about the cows, they have 1000 hp, and? Wendy players still struggles to keep them alive. What actually solved Abigail's survival problem is the gestalt form, which can only be unlocked after defeating the Celestial Champion and can only be switched during full moon.
