myxal
The idea equal to what the new drainer buildings are has been around the forums/reddit for quite some time, but AFAIK it's always been in the context of either keeping a late-game base tidy by draining orphaned bottles, or avoiding the hassle of filling up cooling loops. For me the game-changing use case is undeveloped planet-hopping using early-/mid-game engines. Refuelling setup in U53: drainer building tile to put the drainer building on pipes bottles/canisters of fuel in the rocket interior Refuelling setup in U52 replaces the first 2 items with: drywall or extra length of pipes power source (generator/solar panel, battery, wires pump, bottle/canister emptier liquid lock in case of CO2 I found refuelling CO2 to be such a hassle I never used it to land on uninhabited planetoid. U53 - heck, you can build the drainer inside, making atmosuit-free hopping viable. Just hook up crew module output to the engine, done. Just one nitpick - the animation keeps playing even when the pipe is block, which looks weird.
