Wendy's Shadow affinity perk + new potion

Recommended Posts

Does abi really need more damage to mobs (maybe)? I think it's wasted as an affinity perk, especially when the damage is not that great for the cost of capturing keeping creatures in your pocket. (This may have been buffed recently, I'm behind on updates as a console player.)

I had an idea I've posted about making Gestalt abi more focused on single target debuffing while making her very tanky with sanity foods restoring her hp (at the cost of little to no damage)

Idea:

But for the shadow affinity I think it would be far more beneficial for sacrifices to restore a flat amount of abis hp.

Reasoning:

1. I think the biggest reason why they haven't allowed Wendy to use 2 elixirs at once is due to stacking both revenant restorative and spectral cure all. They both stack to 20 in inventory and using both would make abi nearly unkillable except for making big mistakes on certain bosses. Sacrifices healing abi for a % of her hp would allow for that while keeping it within a limit since each individual abbit takes up a slot.

2. You could heal abi while using distilled vengeance which already does increased damage to mobs. Wendy mains tend to not use this potion much due to it's high cost and revenant restorative allowing you to use abi for longer; being more damage in the long run for cheaper.

3. Allows Wendy a panic button when most other effects are passive health regen.

I was thinking somewhere between 20-30% of abi's max hp per sacrifice.

Side note:

I also think the new potion in the shadow affinity tree could be an upgrade to distilled vengeance. Distilled vengeance + pure horror; on top of the damage reflecting (maybe add some planar damage to that) give her some life leech. 2-5 hp leech per attack reflected. Doesn't seem like a lot but getting hit by 20 ish mobs at once is potentially  40-100hp per second (could argue for more).

Edit: the potion and abi effect have been revamped though i still lean more towards a tankier abi.

Edit 2: The new potion could also have benefit from some life leech. This is because you wouldn't want to overwrite  the effect with a healing potion when abi is near death.

or they could just keep it the way it is and make wendy use the quick animation that winona uses for crafting for killing creatures for the thing to become more useful

I don't think that would solve one of its main issues. If they are too buff it i think a range increase would be easier to implement and be more beneficial.

Edit: the effect changed to increasing her damage and i missed the change. If so the skill doesn't really need further buffing.

or make rabbits stackable

I think the whole point of the effect is relying on a non-stackable mob. Or at least it should, would allow for the effect to be stronger.

Do you know if sacrificing a creature that takes up a whole slot (a rabbit) counts as sacrificing an full stack of small creatures (butterflies)?

the way it works is giving her a double damage buff for (5 * amount of creatures killed) seconds, so killing 1 rabbit gives 5 seconds and killing 20 butterflies gives 100 seconds, that's why i wanted rabbits to be stackable, atm you need to spend 1 second for killing 1 rabbit instead of 1 second for killing 20 butterflies, so killing rabbits's kind of pointless

although maybe that's for the better, idk

ez. let us craft an altar so we can do a whole stack in a second, tho I would rather it be an interaction like consuming mourning glories by shredding, corrupting or burning so it wouldn't be an extra added loop on top of the elixir loop.

That being said a way to get Abigail to full hp if she is downed kind of like Burnie and a sewing kit would be nice.

  • Double stacking elixirs would be nice, but if given the option I would just use 2 damage buffs instead of a heal.
  • Maybe being able to use cure all without over-riding the ones that last a whole day would be the way to go.
