Abigail needs to be a planar entity like Willow's BERNIE!

So current affinity skill says Abigail can earn planar defense by learing the skill. But what it actually gives is merely 5 planar defense at all. Instead of this feeble stat bonus I think Abigail should be a planar entity like BERNIE!. Inevitably Wendy and her skill tree is gonna be compared with Willow's. And she has lots of handy ember magic and fire mechanism with her side, while Wendy heavily relies her gameplay mostly on Abigail. This change can greatly enhance her gameplay in terms of consistency. And Abigail can be more than a bottomless pit for Spectre Cure-All in the fight against strong single-target enemies! (Such as clockwork rooks and every other bosses)

Yeah. This 5 planar defence won't help Abigail's fundamental problems in such situations. Because she'll be considered as a mob anyway which receives multiple damage from other mobs.. The planar defence she got is more proper to player character, instead of a follower creatures like her. Being considered as a planar entity would be hundred times better than current status - it's gonna solve her innate problem nigh perfectly.

Ik, so instead of 150 she gets 100. Instead of 4 hits, she dies in 6. A lot of difference.

 

Even if instead of 300 she was deal 150, she would still die in 4 hits instead of 2.

Honestly I'm not sure one or the other though we are in a beta so making her a planar entity could be tested out first before we decide if it'd be too good or not that being said I definitely feel like now is a good time to change her damage type from mob to player.

Even if instead of 300 she was deal 150, she would still die in 4 hits instead of 2.

100 damage--> 8 * √(100 + 16) - 32= 54.1626369142 which means ~12 hits instead of 6

150 damage---> 8 * √(150 + 16) - 32 = 71.0727898138 which means 9 hits instead of 4

200 damage--->  8 * √(100 + 16) - 32 = 85.5755076536 which means 7 hits instead of 3

300 damage---> 8 * √(300 + 16) - 32 =  110.211110677 which as you guess isnt the 4 hits you said but 6 instead of 2

Wendy's unique downside is her -25% damage when is alone. Planar would give too much room for mistakes

We all know what happens when klei tries to test something and finds out that needs to be reverted or nerfed...

Also for beefs... makes no sense to change the damage receive depending of if you mount or not

I get that the difference was added to prevent bosses being melted by mobs but i think it creates more harm than good. And they can always rise regular damage anyway, would be a way to balance the powercreep a little

Maybe this time klei listen. I did that in the past when wendy was refreshed and they didnt changed that, atleast iirc they acknowledged rooks dealing a bugged ammount of damage to Abigail
