Anxiattack Posted November 21, 2024 Share Posted November 21, 2024 I recently copied my main save data over to the beta so that when the update drops I'll already have an abundance of progress made (I made backup saves so I'm prepared if anything goes wrong). Obviously me doing this means that I had to progress through all the new quest lines once again so I could obtain the 'Gem Cutters Tools' once more. I had finished off all the quests and even had the prompt pop up in the end showing that I'd obtained the new tools, however the problem here comes from the fact that I do not have the 'Gem Cutters Tools' in my inventory, and I cannot access the 'Gem Cutters Table' thus rendering it impossible to ever make gems. This sucks, because this bug has occurred on my main save where I prioritize all my playtime around, which would mean that when the update drops, there is a chance that I will still be unable to make gems. Aside from some random crashes that occurred shortly before this happened, I sadly don't have any leads as to how this bug has come to be, but I'm hoping that this issue can be resolved at some point, ideally giving the chance to do the quest again. Otherwise I'm gonna have to start a fresh save, which would be kinda sad. Let me know if this has happened to you at all, or if I'm just unlucky. With your save file we were able to track down exactly what was happening and clean it up. As mentioned in the patch post, this unfortunately won't fix your existing Beta save but any new instances should work just fine.
