On Mains! (GetNerfedOn don't kill me, I wanted to refresh the poll)

For census purposes I'm a Wilson main. I have like seven mains in DST but I don't really play everyone. (Wilson, Wolfgang, WX-78, Maxwell, Webber, Wortox and Wormwood. In singleplayer or on suitably modded servers, Walani and Wheeler would also be on the list.) Quotes and appearance are what initially draw me to a character and there are some I haven't explored much because of that, but which ones I actually stick with afterwards is mostly a matter of mechanics. If I like their personality/aesthetic enough I'll keep playing them if their mechanics are underwhelming, but if I'm getting my butt kicked whenever I play them or their strengths are concentrated in/gated behind a part of the game I don't play much or I just find their mechanics actively unfun or annoying in some other way, I usually go back to one of my established mains. (Side note, I also spend quite a bit of time on modded servers where the game mechanics are drastically different, and pick different characters to suit that; I often play Wes on Gorge servers but almost never play him on regular servers, for instance.)

Plus if it's not a long-term world and there are already two, three, or more people playing the same character when I join then I'm going to pick that character no matter who it is just to amuse myself.

Its quite surprising that after all the changes the game suffered and the new skill trees, Wendy and Wigfrid are still the undisputed most played characters (As they have been for a looong time)
