Proto-Weapons Level

Before the last patch, crafted proto-weapons were level 10. Now, after crafting, these are level 9. Is this intentional?

This is intentional! We want a player's first Level 10 weapon to be a Boss Weapon, rather than the blank slate of the Proto Weapon.

The difficulty of Super Frenzy 1 has been nudged down to fit more in line with the rest of the progression of our game, which makes clearing it with a Level 9 weapon much more viable.

@jambell Good to know, but are there any plans to upgrade weapons and armor to a similar level as boss weapons in the future? Because while currently it is possible to make Super Frenzy 1, 2, or even 3 with them, making Super Frenzy 5 with a level 9 weapon can be quite difficult, thus limiting the player to only use weapons from bosses, which in my opinion is a bit boring

@Kacpert25 Absolutely, yes! Our game is about building your toolkit and using it to face different challenges, so it definitely would follow that your toolkit is usable everywhere you need it to be.

Our plans for how to bring your non-Boss equipment up to Level 10 and higher didn't quite make it into this beta, but we are working on it.

@jambell Then I can't wait for this feature to be implemented :).

If I may make a suggestion, I would love to see the option to level up weapons by upgrading racks using 4 imbued hearthstones from the first four bosses (+ ingots), just as you now use 8 ingots from the biomes of the first four bosses.
