Zarquan
This is kind of a PSA for the Chain Tool mod because this is the most revolutionary QoL mod I've ever used, probably surpassing my most used mod tools like Sweep by Type. And I don't think I've seen anyone mention it here. This mod allows you to require one task to be finished before the next task can be done. It's utterly amazing. You can easily order the build of entire projects and order that they be built in a certain order. You can order dig commands in to happen in a way that your dupes can't get trapped in one go. You can brick off a room in one set of commands and come back later to find it done without any gaps. One new trick I found is that you can also get notifications when your tasks are done using a notifier. Just make an automation wire the last task on a chain and you will be notified when a job is complete. In this picture, I am building a solid counterflow heat exchanger. Using the Chain Tool, the dupes will build all the conveyor rails, then build the entire thing column by column until it is bricked in. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3303494244 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/160154-love-the-chain-tool-qol-mod/ Share on other sites
Gurgel
Interesting. I have looked for something like this, especially for deconstructing things. Thanks. imazined
I used priority zero for this. But that requires reprioritizing stuff. I give it a look. Thank you.
