El Muz
Dear Klei, some time ago you fixed the same problem with the unseen hands. Before that fix consoleplayers had a difficult time to target unseen hands, because your character would prioritize attacking AF or woven shadows when near unseen hands. I‘m not even sure if there is a dedicated System in place that decides what enemy will be the target of my attack when 2 or more are near my character, but it very much feels like it. Because in my experience my character will very reliable not target woven shadows when im near AF especially if his shield is active. My perceived prioritylist is: 1. unseen hands 2. shielded AF 3. Woven Shadows / unshielded AF One core-mechanic of the AF-battle is to kill the woven shadows before they reach AF. But currently it feels simply not possible to even target them over AF once they reach a certain vicinity to AF. And to add insult to injury you get knockbacked for attacking fuelweavers shield, which stuns you briefly. Even with the lock-on-feature its very tiresome because you would always lock on AF first, then you have to change target to a (random and oftentimes not the nearest )woven shadow to kill it. Repeat this for every woven shadow, which oftentimes takes to long due to the many buttoninputs. Could you look into that again and change targetpriorities if possible? To make it possible to target woven shadows near fuelweaver. Alternative ideas: make shielded fuelweaver untargetable for normal attacks ( which might be difficult since you changed something to make him easier targetable with weatherpains and brightshade staff) Or knockback woven shadow as well as the player when you attack the shield to buy more time to kill the woven hands. On a last note: maybe make it possible for the shield-knockback to launch us out of his bonecage. As an alternative to using a lazy explorer. Disclaimer: I‘m aware that you can use brightshade staff or weatherpains to make the fight easier (or possible) on console. But i think with this small change it would be possible to kill him without mandatory gear. As explanation for my post. I tried to kill fuelweaver with weremoose for hours. On paper it is very much to beat him this way. But on console you cant outdamage his healing because you are unable to use the intended countermechanic. Thank you! NotGabriel
I’ve only legitimately beaten fuelweaver with Bramble Wormwood, it is just too difficult to manage all that nonsense on the sticks with the janky auto target. I abused the hell out of rollback and wasted many hours across like 3 different characters on one of my worlds and would lose every time to my character deciding to hit the shielded Fuelweaver three time in a row and losing all my hard earned damage. It’s actually the most miserable experience I’ve had gaming. Klei, if y’all are listening, please add a force attack setting to controller as a setting, so that I can use my skillful positioning to hit what I want to hit instead of my character running into Fuelweaver over and over like a fly on a window. Fatkitty
This topic has been beaten to death now. They patched it up and made it much better, about as good as its going to get on the console without affecting targeting other objects in the game. Turn off auto-targeting and bring the bright shade staff or weather pane. How can you turn off auto targeting on PS5? Fatkitty
Go into the in game settings, there should be something that says "Auto-Lock" enable/disable. Turning this off will guide the character toward the object that is in the direction they're pointed for the most part. I can manually hit about 80-90% of the shadow buggies and 100% hit the unseen hands.
