Should Great Depths Worm have better loot?

I liked this monster, but I feel like the loot could be a little better.

I also would like for it to have better loot; something that you'll always want to have more of, like how some farm Bee Queen for Jellybeans. But most of all, I hope it stays as part of the depths worms waves instead of somewhere in the caves. The waves were underwhelming without it, and I always like to see new challenges that come after you instead of the other way around.

I really liked the amount of bone shards (thanks Klei!). Just for that I would face this boss several times. But there could be something more.

For a fun fight like this I really don’t mind it having no exclusivity from its loot if that’s the stuff you're looking for. The bones are superb, yup ! But it’s also cool that it’s like… an evolved threat over the excuse for glow berry v.2 or what. If they add something else in the loot, so be it, I won’t fight it : ) but I prefer it the other way.

I think you got unlucky. The ones i killed all dropped buncha non ruin gems and sometimes thulecite.

I think it must be because of the simulated fight.

That's quite odd i spawned it several times and it did give me the loot table it's supposed to

I'd love for there to be a new craft related to bone shards so you have a way to use the large amounts you'd get from fighting multiple of these. Something that's expensive on bone shards and pretty useful, I think that would make up for not having an unique drop.

Echoing a suggestion I made on the main forums, but I think a unique drop could be a worm heart that could revive wormholes on the surface. Revived wormholes could then be lured around to reposition world-generated wormholes. It would be a very thematically fitting drop for a worm boss with an attack that functions like a damaging wormhole!

Aside from repositioning wormholes, as well as maybe some farm potential with the revived wormholes on the surface, it could perhaps have a bonus function as a full-heal Telltale Heart with no health penalty for dead survivors as well.

(PS: If the idea is considered, I insist the heart be called the Wholeworm/Woeworm Heart)
