For bringing the gorge and forge back

Have them function like the hamlet and shipwrecked with the active repaired ancient gateway acting like the Skyworthy/seaworthy also I’m not quite familiar with the mechanics of severs  but I would assume the same sever the would support the non-gorge/forge world to be could support a gorge or forge world 

also possibly a way to improve the repair because it seems pretty botched 

and possibly character updates for the forge/gorge so there abilities are up to date and possibly even adding in cut mobs sense it would be a more permanent thing 

Could it maybe also be done in a way that one could choose between having gorge / forge just having as a sub-world like the caves with limited mechanics, or be able to have them as the /gamemodes/ forge and gorge. I would so much love to meet the goatie people without necessarily having to PLAY the gorge gameplay and end up being turned into a merm by displeasing the gnaw :')

Ya,but I feel like making them different shards would probably be too hard on the severs so I was thinking it would take a world slot but could be traveled to from other worlds like in solo DS

also I think the appeal of the gorge and forge is the more focused challenge 

like in the forge you still have the challenge of fighting but you only have to manage heal

or in the gorge you still have the challenge of constantly preparing food but you only have to manage the gnaws hunger 

maybe it could be something where after you achieved the goal for the forge you earned the respect of the resistance of the forge and are allowed to freely roam the world of forge or return home and if you want to have the challenge again you could sign up to fight again possibly for rewards and for the gorge after achieving the goal you can roam a while maybe even help the resistance rebuild for a while until gnaw gets hungry again

Now that last thing is a great idea! It would be nice, though it would probably keep me from ever roaming the forge and gorge world since I wouldn't have the chance to play those two gameplays in the first place (since they REQUIRE a certain number of fellow players). Unless it could maybe made this way that it would require ONE team to finish the challenge and then have a certain time span that anyone who uses the "portal" / "teleportato"-like-thingie to enter the forge / gorge worlds gets the priviledge of roaming, until the countdown sends those who aren't in the gameplay team home again, automatically.

There could be a way to switch in world settings to skip it or maybe it could be a relaxed mode version of the gorge/forge

Come on klei You already got the quotes for characters that dang even exist during the gorge and Forge based on that I’d say you wanted it back to so let’s make this stuff happen. No rush like you have a lot of things to do, but you know eventually.

I've made this suggestion before. We should somehow be able to travel between clusters, especially in the context of a non dedicated server even as a world setting.
I spoke to ADM, the modder who created the cherry forest mod and ADM says it's possible.

 

I don't know if anyone would make a mod for it to show that such a thing is possible. I'm not sure how motivated klei is to create something like this.

I've never played both or intent to play them, but it sure is a little sad that they leave their entire gorge / forge idea to the modders instead of implenting it into the game. So I'd rather have them bring it back themselves (so also console players can profit from it) not just handing work over to the modders once more.

(but then I suppose Klei first wants to focus on 'finishing' their current main-direction (shadow moon blabla) and THEN maybe they will care about readding gorge and forge back into the game themselves. Maybe until then they let modders do it, since maybe Klei may believe gorge/forge may be a niche way of gameplay and so they currently don't want to spend resources on it? Just an assumption.)

I would have almost suggested that the access to those worlds would have to be found via cave exploring, both near the place you fight AFW. One to be found via going through a labyrinth of lavaa streams (this would of course need to have AFW place to be expanded but I think you get what I mean) leading to forge-BIOME that will be "inactive" until a group of players activates the forge-arena mode. For the gorge there would be a wormhole (not a tentacle hole cause gnaw looks more wormhole-y) to be found near the AFW-place that when jumping inside spits you out in Gorge-BIOME (that will be in a gnaw-is-temporary-"asleep"-mode when you get their, but also means the NPCs and resources will be mostly inactive.) that also has to be activated by a group enabling the gnaw-is-active mode that will start the gorge play.

But then people may not like my idea of having to reach this via having to search for the atrium biome first.

(it would not be connected to AFW but only be branching off from the atrium biome)

It be cool if you were able to bring swamp pigs over to the main constant and they could act like negotiators between the pigs and the merms considering one there pigs and two is variant of pigs is basically merms pre mermification

also, maybe you could bring silver to the main constant can use it to negate Transformation into werepigs
