Small suggestion regarding charcoal production.

Recommended Posts

Would it maybe be too much to ask for burning logs turning into charcoal when you burn them on the ground instead of ashes? I think that would make burning a whole forest in pubs way less of a situation. I also see it being kinda strong cause you could theoretically make 4 charcoals per large evergreen instead of 1 or 2.

Burning a whole stack of logs would maybe generate a little bit less then? The act of putting down a log on the ground and setting it on fire instead of creating a campfire when night is close to an end is as viable as setting a whole tree on fire.

In this same topic, there's also the fact that trees regrow way way faster than they should in my opinion. There as so many ways of getting logs and so many biomes in the game. If the whole surface is suddently chopped by a woodie, there's still the caves and the lunar island. My suggestion is to make tree regrowth and recycle less frequent. Maybe doing so will also increase the performance.

dit you know you can get a charocoal from a campfire or firepit extinguise once it hits its maximum fire burn?

one charcoal every 6 minutes for 4 wood doesnt really sound like a good exchange rate

i know, but if one does not want to burn down the forest, choping it down to get charocoal is an option

Willow gets charcoal as a byproduct easily. It doesn't take much fuel to make a fire burn at maximum with said character. Even early game when taming a Beefalo you end up with plenty of manure which is good and free fuel. It should be easy enough to farm charcoal using 2-4 Firepits, although I never had this problem.

Farming charcoal by using firepits is such a waste of time and resources. Just plant 40 pinecones and burn em.

If you only need 6 burn a sign hammer it and repeat. Should get it with like a 50% chance.

Yeah my suggestion is to just make it so logs have like a 70% chance of turning into logs or something. It makes 1 task - of burning and chopping burned trees - split into another - farming logs regularly with bearger
