Jakepeng99 Posted July 12, 2024 Share Posted July 12, 2024 Everyone acts like they are unusable without festive lights or cown shards. Lightbulbs last 12 days in them. Its not bad to refill them once every 12 days. Glowberries last longer (20 days), crustashines can also be put in them if you want to refill them with food. Winter, which has the most darkness, makes then spoil 25% slower in addition (Summer makes them spoil faster sadly). Crown shards are not near a nessessity. Use a forest stalker for some glowberries, or bundle some for later if going to the caves for 5 minutes is too much. Edit: I am not saying crown shards and lights have no use. Massive bases exist, and you may as well add them if you have them or want to. Killing Toadstool in itself should not give you infinite light, but look how DIM and SMALL the radius of the light is when you put one of the Final Boss's drop inside! "Well, you get 6 of these!" Alright, I can light up my kitchen with one Celestial Champion kill, some green gems, ruins trips. Now, only to do this 30 times more to light up every decoration... It's about how dim they are, even when given one of final boss's drops. @ChintzyGnat here, Or just make multiple Celestial Shards increase the light radius and brightness at least. It doesn't make sense that more shards give no more light, and it would also be costly so no one could be mad.
