zergologist Posted July 5, 2024 Share Posted July 5, 2024 As it currently stands, there's a plethora of options to counter "chilly surroundings" that work on Ceres and similarly cold asteroids. The sauna and hot tub work to heat up your dupes, same with the different heaters. However, when it comes to "toasty surroundings," there's just the water cooler. Does brackene make its cooling effect last longer? Why not allow for other recreation buildings to provide immunity to the heat much like the hot tub and sauna protect from the cold? Several current buildings make sense for that heat protection; the surfboard and wind tunnel definitely seem like they'd cool dupes off decently well. The juicer could definitely be added to the list of refreshments though chances are that if other, purpose built cooling options were introduced, they wouldn't be unwelcome. If the espresso machine protects against chilly surroundings, then the soda fountain and juice maker could protect against toasty surroundings (though none of the three would be efficient means of protection).
