Pet training

I was watching a stream on Twitch just a minute ago. This guy made a small field of trees, burned them down then proceded to chop down the burnt trees for charcol. He chopped down the whole forest THEN picked up all the charcol.

As I watched that I thought, " I would love some pet to pick that up for me". Of course I got that idea from another game. Don't Starve wouldn't be like that. This would be different in how "pet's" are treated. By taming and raising creatures.

I just picture a clearing in the woods. A log cabin with an animal and creature of all types sitting on the porch guarding the house/property. That seemed interesting. Perhaps a bit much to ask. This is me just sharing. Other thoughts are welcome.

I always loved the idea of a man and a dog in those post apocalyptic games. It's almost iconic, imo.
