Hey, I wanted to make a suggestion about the server list.

I think it will make everyone's life easier.

Especially for new players

I noticed that many servers are empty simply because they are not at the top of the server list. Because of the "???" ping problem

The server list seems a bit confusing for new players, making it difficult to join servers with lower pings and in their country.

And on top of that, there is the problem that some servers' pings are shown as "???" making the server at the end of the list and making it impossible to find it.

The servers could be organized by default from lowest ping to highest.
And if possible, organize the servers by country or region.

That way, people would find servers in their country much more easily, since all of them in their country will be at the top of the list regardless of the PING. Even if the PING is "???" it will be at the top of the list.

This is exactly how it is right now. The Ping shown as ??? simply means that the Klei Server listing Servers couldn't ping the DST Server.

And no answer/timeout is listed as longer than everything else. It's kinda hard for the Klei Servers to guess what the latency to the server is, if the server isn't answering.

This would be a decent way around the ping issues.

Or maybe a filter to select your/a country.

You can already select the listing order by selecting "Most Active Players", "Server Name A-Z" or "Server Name Z-A" at the bottom to get a server order that ignores ping.

Also you can filter at the top right for name, in case you are struggling to find a specific server.

I think the most efficient way to solve the problem of "???" pings would be to organize them by country

That way, even the servers that don't show the ping would be at the top.

As incredible as it may seem, many people don't know or don't even use these functions
it should come by default or be clearly explained on the screen

When opening a server, or create world,  it may be dedicated or hosted.
You may have the option to choose the country or region.

For example:
South America or Brazil

 

This would have a symbol of the country or region next to the name, and thus being able to apply filters to find servers.
