Faster crafting->Faster Actions

When would it be usefull? Most of us probably spends most of bulding time trying to place the building in correct spots rather than seeing the character place it in a blink of an eye. It's just slightly annoying to lose hunger for something useless.

It should be base kit, but improved by skills.

 

She needs a new updownside, like with Wormwood and Walter. She would drain hunger from working, but do it faster.

An interesting thing I've noticed recently is that the speed of dismantling of her machinery depends on Winona's hunger, just like crafting. 

I think expanding it to at least actions with a similar animation could be cool(ex: using tape on items, maybe using healing items even?)

A theme I am noticing is people really like Winona's UM rework and want most of it in base game. And I agree tbh  :lol:

While I think this would be fine, Winona herself has always been a handy woman, as evidenced by her speed crafting. This is the only thing besides the lunar/shadow perks that distinguished her from her machines, and adding to the mechanic would be a nice bonus for her. Also it's understated how this would make her downside of doing things at the cost of hunger more noticeable and really make it stand out more than it already does.

Lunar strike with catapults to cut trees and robots to collect it. 

If I'm being honest it's kinda weird that catapults don't do this by default considering we're quite literally throwing giant rocks.

that being said between the lunar catapult and winbot she's already pretty good at harvesting resources something kinda interesting however would be if she could queue up multiple of the same craft to be built in advance building on her fast craft perk.

I suggested it in my own thread, but I really do think they should condence some of the catapult skills to make room for some skills that specifically affect her hunger mechanics.

We need augmentations that effect winona outside of the structures she builds, so that playing as her is more than just her crafts. Thats why I think there should be skill tree skills for making harvesting/picking/chopping/mining/rowing have the same 5 hunger speed boost, maybe a tier 2 skill that includes combat, such as boosting her movement and attack speed, not damage though. 

She's a hard worker, so I think it would be interesting to have her be great at doing all sorts of hard work as long as the player keeps the food topped off.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm tired of characters that mine/gather wood more quickly, we already have wurt, maxwell, woodie and wolfgang. Even though she would benefit a lot from mining rocks faster because catapults are kinda expensive, I'm not a fan of this because she's mainly a builder and not a "gatherer". That's just my opinion tho, I understand some may want this and I'm fine with it, its more of a personal thing I guess.  And I do agree she should have more to her skill tree besides her catapults, but I think she should focus on other new crafts instead of tweaking her hunger mechanic.

This just feels like a means to an end, you gather resources faster for crafting her gadgets faster. Honest question, how does this turns her more than just her crafts if you're just gathering resources to build her crafts? I'm a bit confused 

Winona is not a noob friendly character, her skill tree I expected would fix that but instead Klei opted to go all in on the Catapults instead of doing anything at all to make her beginner player friendly.

A “Beginner” is going to be using a freaking boat load of very early game spears, axes and pickaxes.

And Winona’s Upside/Downside of Faster Crafting but at the cost of draining hunger, just does NOT work in this scenario, Try it.. go play as Winona right now and act like a total noob, notice how many Spears, Axes and Pickaxes you’ll burn through and how fast that eats away at your hunger.

Sure I can Offset this downside by creating in bulk a bunch of spears and axes and pickaxes, but then I’m also carrying around or just leaving laying around items I don’t actually need yet.

This downside is like Pre-Rework Wolfgang where Klei expected noobs who were already starving to death and trying to kill a spider for monster meat to be able to do that in his “puny weak form” his refresh made it so you can be starving completely to death but still “buff up” with dumbells long enough to kill a few spiders for the meat you needed.

I would even argue Winona’s hunger downside drain is about as taxing on a newer player as Pre-Reworked Wolfgang and Wes’s was.

Maybe Klei’s “intention” is to off-set the working hunger drain downside by wanting Winona players to set up the new (beta) catapults that also will “Farm” resources they smash into? I don’t know..

I just know that if a Winona player DOESNT do that, they’ll eat through hunger and common axes to chop trees with faster than Pre-Rework Wes and Wolfgang’s ate through the food in our iceboxes.

Her power budget is really capped right now.
