Question about above average trees and their figs

Hello,

Ive been playing dst for a while and grew a few above average tree trunks with figs on them, unfortunately some of them are in areas that are above the water and hard for me to reach normally, is there any way to move them? What I thought was to burn the vine and hope the tree sprouts a new one but will the tree regenerate vines? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I believe they'll spawn new vines if you bump the trunk with a boat? It's been a while though.

If you’re not adverse to some light cheating, then I would just use the delete and spawn commands to put the vines in the location you want them. 
 

you’ve already done the work of getting the above average tree to your base. I think it’s justifiable to want the vines to be a bit more conveniently located

There should be a way to move them. But if not, you could use boats or docks to reach the ones above the water.

you can burn the vines freely and they will regenerate, carefull to not burn something else too.

from what I recall, the tree will always have at least 3, but if you are lucky they can get 4 vines
