HeatAndRun
I'm also against the "Catapult for Winona only" phrase. Limiting access to Catapult only for Winona is not a good idea to encourage more interesting interactions between players and characters. So, I think every character in this game should be able to use the "Arm Catapult" ability of her handy remote. This way the Winona skill tree update will have least negative effect on existing catapult farms setup. Of course the generators charged with aligned materials should have some restriction in this case... Also, the handy remote should be the base kit for Winona, instead of being tied to the "Portability" skill. It's kinda silly that currently even Winona herself with 0 skill points cannot completely utilize the catapults well because the remote is tied to the "Portability" skill. Other character's access to catapults are here from her first refresh. Like, it's been here for perhaps too long. Imagine other characters cannot wear Wigfrid's battle helm anymore because of the introduction of battle helm skill tree, or cannot use the torch because of Wilson's new torch skillsets. Some of her very basic skills need to be the base kit, and other interesting crafts or ability could occupy that space. Just add more Winona-exclusive abilities more! This ability. This ability. I've been one of the more vocal opponents to restricting catapult access, but I can't get behind this suggestion. The remote is a new addition to Nona's toolkit that has the opportunity to be unique to her without taking away from the rest of the team. The remote is more efficient than walking up to each machine individually, and it could also be used to set the skill tree proficiencies of catapults when they are turned on (as opposed to when they are built, which is out it works now). During the dev steam, I thought they were saying the remote and all the new functionality tied to that was restricted to nona, not taking away base catapults from everyone else. Giving her sole access to the remote still seems like the right decision to me. I thought about this too, but considering the new way how catapult works in the beta, I think giving access to "arm catapult" mod to everyone seems to be the simplest solution to solve the problem rather than making an entirely new way to activate all the catapults for other characters. shuishuihuohuo
I'm delighted to see that Winona has escaped the identity of being a tool, but you not only want other characters to use the catapult, but also want other characters to use her remote control. It sounds crazy, just like lending Wendy's Abigail to other characters.
