how rare are the suprising seeds?

I've hammered 30 sunken chests and none of them are spawning, what is the chance they can spawn? Seem a bit too rare

The chances for a surprising seed depend on day cycle with a linearly increasing rate to the chance of 0.3 per day maxxing out at 60% on day 200. I would reccommend keeping your bottles in store until day 200+ in order to maximize the chance of getting seeds.

Why can't the ocean just not have these weird restrictions in place? The trees grow for way too long too, meaning most players will never get much use from them.
