Full transmutation, lunar affinity, and brightness torch branch with torch throwing.

The beard perks aren't very useful to me because I shave it to fight Klaus and Dragonfly so I can manage my overheating better. The beard storage sounds funny but I don't need more than my main inventory.

Torches are cheap. I'd rather they do more for shorter than less for longer. 

I think what torch throwing needs is more applications for it. You can throw it from a distance to ignite gunpowder like a poor mans fire staff. I've heard people use it to rush ruins science-less.

True, true, but I have good faith in the people here who GENUINELY want Wilson's skill tree to be better.

While I haven't yet played a wilson run, my ideal skill tree setup would hammering duration for less torch make during winters and torch toss to get rid of miasma if what Klei said in that stream they did for the shadow rifts update is true that it would work. Full beard insulation to make winters and the start of spring easier, storage for obvious reasons. Full rocks transformations for easy cut stone and moon rock farming from a marble farm, 2 icky transformations for the really good meat transformation and to turn all the spare beard hair into carpet that can't be bothered to mass collect. I don't use the gem transformations because generally when I play, I don't use gems too much myself as I generally have all that I need and I'm not too heavy on mass crafting green gems. It also doesn't help how we'll be getting a way to grow gems so that also doesn't help. And finally Shadow Affinity because a) blind preferance and b) getting dreadstone on mass is a pain in the ass while pure horror is not and both methods of getting the pure brilliance materials are relatively easy in comparison so it's not as good in my eyes. Also mass nightmare fuel farm is a funny concept to me. This is just what I would choose, I'm saying anybody else should follow it.

 

For questions 3 and 4: Yes I think that Wilson should have more options, but the way too do that isn't really by removing any of the current trees but instead fusing them together so you get a beard line and a light line. If there was also options to suddenly like make stuff like scrap and wobots, then nobody would be picking the beard perks because they would simply be outclassed, which is why I also propose to fuse them together so it adds more intrusive value.

i don't even play wilson im just here for the beef. klei just make all of wilson's perks centered around the torch; cheaper torches, torch flamethrowers, cooking with the torch, sanity from torches, duelwielding torches, and torch followers just to name a few. i wonder if the guy on the klei dev team who proposed the torch skills feels like Oppenheimer.... single handidly destroying the sanity and rational discussions of the forums(ok... it goes way further back than that so it's not fair to pin it on them).

The word you're both looking for is combine, fusing works too, but let's not be pedantic when you clearly understood what they meant.

Eeerrr, I don't think I ever said I don't like all parts of Wilson's skill tree for them to be completely removed (aside for the torch tree, but even then I'd rather have it changed into an equippable Light Sources tree instead). Like I said multiple times before, twig-log and meat-morsel transmutes are good. Beard storage is my fave. So, really, some parts of his skill tree DO feel nice. Just trim the beard insulation/growth perks to 2 tiers only, combine the torch light radius and durability, etc. You can then have the extra like what, 5-6 other slots to be used on other options. Like healing, for example.

All I'm looking forward to as of now is for the torch tree to be fixed/reworked. If possible, then maybe Klei can also add more items in the transmutes' nodes. Priorities, much?
