Jakepeng99 Posted May 21, 2024 Share Posted May 21, 2024 The marotters so far seem to be mostly atmospheric with raidable dens, but i had an idea for an interaction: ▪Giving a marotter a live fish will make it swim to the bottom of the ocean, and then trade you kelp in return. Kelp varies on the weight and fish type. ▪Giving a marotter a trinket however, will make it swim to the bottom of the ocean and reward you with a bullkelp stalk, in addition to kelp. It adds a niche use for marotters and adds more interactions with them and the player. Marotters may have a limit of gifts per day for balance. Maybe 1 bull kelp stalk a day max. Edit: Read the suggestions below for other things they could offer, like shell fragments, message bottles and barnacles. That will be a good idea. It would be an active way to farm bottles, and therefore treasure. Lovens Posted May 22, 2024 Share Posted May 22, 2024 I support the idea. Maybe it could be similar to catcoons with a larger loot table that is related to the ocean.
