Ocean padding qol for bases?

I had an idea. A new padding item can be crafted. It is like reverse boat bumpers, for land. You place them on the edge of water on docks/land, and any boat that crashes into them, they will take zero damage.

It makes parking your boat much easier, safer and funner. (You can go full speed)

They can also have skins and look nice, like outlines for your docks.

Its like a pillow.

I think there's precedent for this. I'm 20% sure they put tyres on shores or whatever so boats don't float in an punch a hole into it.

It could be pillows made from beefalo wool, silk and kelp (waterproofness)

First thing that comes to mind are those things people sometimes put on sharp corners of the furniture, to make it safer.
