Anyone else see Klei servers consistently crash?

Just now, an official public server I spent over 70 days in has randomly crashed and thus deleted its entire world. I've seen this happen at least five times now, a server gets going with a consistent playerbase and then, usually around the end of the second year, its connection suddenly dies and all progress is lost. I'm far more upset about this than their innumerable griefing incidents - has this always been the case or am I just extremely unlucky? I understand public servers will inevitably reset, but there's been many records of Klei servers running for thousands of days without resetting for no reason with no warning. Have they put in a hard limit to prevent this or what? I feel like giving up on them entirely...

realy seems like it, it just...randomly dies, then on the server list i can still see the server but it shows all the players including myself still somehow being inside of them and at some point its day 1 again

Yeah when your own name's on the player list that's the death knell, it's already over. Yet player count doesn't seem to affect it, I've seen it with 4 and I've seen it with 11 so it's really out of nowhere every time.

It happened to me as well and it made me start wondering if people figured another way to kill the server on purpose, like they did back when you could crash the game on command with Wes (before it was patched)
