Bluefoxfire
The exhaust gasses themselves seem to not actually come out heated, but rather the rocket engine has a heat gun style area active during liftoff/landing. I also learned that you can use this to boil liquids without the risk of contents escaping if you have a containment area surrounded by insulated tiles. asurendra
Both. Exhaust is heated, and heat gun works too. Actual heat of exhaust and power of gun depends on engine type (vanilla engines are pretty hot, some DLC ones - arent) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/154825-random-rocket-fact/#findComment-1703840 Share on other sites

sheaker
It is better to put water tank below rocket and heat it, then run steam turbine on top of it to generate power. Bluefoxfire
I had already figured it could be used for steam, but it felt too obvious a use to put here. Though I wonder if there's a good way to make it so it can also refill a steam rocket?
